Hi all. Are refillables available inside the parks and if so what do they do. Our kids can't have Cola and it seems to be the national drink. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as it's going to cost us a fortune trying to keep the kids from being dehydrated. Thanks

I'm not sure if you can buy refillables in the parks
We used to buy one bottle of water and then when it ran out would just fill it up again at a drinkable water fountain, there are loads of them around.

Great idea but the water is awful. There is so much chlorine in it. Just having cups of tea back at the hotel cost me a fortune in bottled water. Thanks anyway

You can buy cups at Seaworld , Busch and Universal parks that give you cheaper refills, but Disney only has refillable cups at the resorts and water parks.
The best way to keep hydrated is to take your own bottled water or other drinks with you. You could keep some in a locker if you don't want to carry it all around all day. It is pretty hard to find non-carbonated drinks other than OJ or milk.

we always have a nightmare as I dont allow carbonated drinks at home, plus i find they make me more thirsty but that could be me. I take a bottle of Robinsons squash with me from the UK, keep bottled water in the fridge at hotel and make drinks up every day to take.

You can buy Brita sports bottles with spare cartridges. You can fill them up at the water fountains and the water then tastes fine. They are available here but are cheaper in places like Walmart .

Thanks for all the ideas folks there are some really helpful ones there. Will watch for the Brita thing as it could save a fortune in bottled water. Does it filter out the flouride taste or is there still a taste with it. Thanks.

we would get large bottles of water and put them into smaller bottles in the freezer in our villa then take frozen ones in our backpack for the day.

i agree the water is vile and my eldest goes through the loop when he has sugar so fizzy drinks are out too, we went this year in may and I didnt know that there was no such thing as squash or cordial over there, unfortunately I had to allow him to have fizzy sometimes (tried to stick to sprite as it seemed to have the least affect on him). ended up buying mango juice from walmart 90cents for a gallon (still had sugar in but not as much as the fizzy). Going again in may 2006 and will definitely be taking some robinsons squash with me and buying bottled water!

You can get Robinsons squash and Ribena in Publix but it is a lot more expensive than here. We got through 4 bottles on our last trip as DS can't have fizzy drinks.
We found the water was more drinkable with the little sachets of crystal lite added. They come in a range of flavours and are easy to carry around with you too.

I have seen these in Robert Dyas in the last couple of weeks. They go for about £5.99 I think.

hi
snap upthe britta water bottles whilst you can, they are being discontinued!
also if you drive you can buy12 bottles of aqua fina bottled water from walmart or 7/11 for $5 dollars. also walmart do their own vereion of the flavoured water crystals in individual sachets. any counter service restaraunt will give you complimentary water if you ask them:)

Actually we had quite a problem with our Kiera , she will not drink anything fizzy and wont drink water.

At Disney it wasnt a problem as appple and orange juice was widely available but at the Universal and Busch owned parks it was hard to find.

I would definately bring your own drinks even if you just bring a bottle or two of concentrate you can always get bottles of water in the parks
