I'm going to be going to France at the end of November and as I'm changing trains in Paris I'm contemplating spending a romantic (hopefully) night there. Does anyone know any nice, cheap hotels or b and b's near to Gare Du Nord or perhaps the Eiffel Tower? If I'm just there for the one night I'd like to be in easy reach of at least one attraction (cheap if possible). Any help would be grately appreciated.

Ive stayed in a few in Paris and so long as you are near a metro station you can get to the Gare Du Nord really easy, the budget hotels in Paris have very small rooms and basic, but so long as its clean thats all you will need.
Do a search on the net and check on trip advisor you will be ok, there is also a Campanile Hotel next to the Gare Du Nord, they are cheap and would be ok.

we stayed in the Du Cadran, its near the E'cole Militare metro stop and is just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower, its a small but clean hotel with friendly staff in a superb position to see the sights, there are restaurants and shops nearby.... hope this helps....
