I'm planning a trip to NYC at the end of Jan and i've decided i'd like to travel in a little bit of luxury instead of crammed into cattle class! :wink So i've been checking out the prices of BA & Virgin's Premium Economy service, but the prices are more or less the same so i'm stuck with which one to choose! So i was hoping people on here would be able to help me! Which would you go for? If you flown with either or both, what did you think of the service offered... is it worth the extra dosh?
Cheers! :beer2:
We have flown WT+ with BA to Hong Kong and home from Mumbai. It was the best flight we have ever taken with Hubby being able to sleep all the way home from Mumbai, something he has never done before. The extra leg room is worth the cost esp on a night flight.
We have booked WT+ for the return leg only from San Francisco as the cost to us for the day trip out is not worth it.
We have not flown Virgin in their Premium cabin so can't comment, but I believe that Virgin Customers get a dedicated check in whereas BA customers check in with Economy. However, that said, we found no queue and these days you can check in online and just drop your bags off.

Hi
We've done both (and even Club, the one above, but don't try it, or you will always want to do it!!) and I think there is little to choose from. Virgin may just edge it as they are introducing an after dinner drink (either Bailey's or Brandy) and you get a pre-take off glass of champagne.
Service is always good and the extra leg room makes it a definate - if you can afford it and want that bit extra to start your holiday with a bang, then go for it!
