no, it's not that one, it's down near Disney and it's painted lots of bright colours - I've driven past plenty of times but I've never stayed there.

Never stayed there, but it's in a great location right opposite Crossroads right at the entrance to Disney and less than a mile from Downtown Disney. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and all the parks are an easy drive away.

We have been looking at this hotel and I was wondering how good it was if you don't have a car? For instance can you walk to downtown disney and also are there shops and restaurants nearby.

Never stayed in this one...but it's in a great location...loads of restaurants just across the road at Crossroads...and a great 24 hour supermarket Goodings....it's an easy walk to Downtown Disney...It would be pretty easy without a car

I know this may sound daft but what exactly is crossroads? :confused2
This is the hotel with the loud colours isn't it as when I have looked on trip advisor some people have said that you need to get a taxi to downtown disney and I am slightly concerned as we have only stayed on the I drive but this hotel sounds okay to me.
Thanks everyone for your replies.

Hi u can get a taxi to DTD but as I said it is only a 15min walk with proper sidewalks, crossroads is a shopping area and restaurants as well:smile:

That sounds great.
Also - the Doubletree is included in the shuttle bus service that covers the Plaza Blvd hotels for transport to Pleasure Island, Disney parks and the water parks (run about every 20 mins or so).

You can't miss this hotel - its the one with the huge pineapple outside and it looks like a Changin Room makeover gone made from the outside!!!
I stayed there for 2 weeks last May and it was very good - comfortable and clean. There is a coffee shop in the Reception which is great. All the staff were really friendly. Doubletree Club are part of the Hilton group and the standards were what you would expect from an international chain.
It is opposite Crossroads which means you have restaurants and shops in walking distance.
I hired a car and everywhere was easily accessible - I4 is just down the road and Disney is literally round the corner - i walked to Downtown Disney once (it isn't far but it feels it when the temperature is in the 90's) - it took about 15 minutes.
I tried to PM you regarding this hotel and you don't accept PM's so if you want me to e-mail you just let me know.
Thanks
