Hi just wondered if anyone has stayed at the Orange Lake Resort recently and if you could give me any info.

We have read some very good reports and a few where people are saying the West Village is old and it seems that area is not up to the same standards as the rest of the resort.

Any info would be appreciated.:beer2:

Hi pegasus
sorry I havent been, but I am going in march, its one of my SIL timeshares, the reviews are very good, I did read someone had a complaint about how far the swimming pools were away from the rooms, I might be wrong but 2.1 miles from her room, and she had young children!!! they did complain and got moved, some people use their cars to drive to the pools. It hasnt put me off, I am still looking forward to going, good luck

We stayed there 4 years ago, not recently, and it was fantastic. There are two large swimming pool areas with several pools at each. There is one is next to the lake and another further up the resort. Mini bus runs around the complex all the time. The were building more further up, near WWD animal kingdom, but that was a seperate road to get there.
It was fantastic and I will have a hard job to match it next year. We used my fathere timeshare when we were there, booked one week and were not sure what we were going to do for the second, the 9/11 happened and they were offering 2nd week at £99, the bargin of a lifetime!

We stayed there a few years ago and it was great.
The swimming pool was a long way from our condo so we had to use the car to get there but the pool was fantastic.

Pegasus, we are owners at OLCC, West Village is getting a bit old, but still OK. Ask for East or North villages, and villas better than studio appartments in the clubhouse. They are building a water park too, due to open next year, lazy river, that sort of thing. Looks good. If you want I could send you some photos. Have you looked at their website? They run a shuttle bus service round the complex too.

My parents are owners there and I have had several vacations there and would highly recommend. The new water complex opens next year so you will have a great time. Have you looked at there web site www.orangelake.com it has loads of pics around the complex, web cams and you can sign up for a monthly news letter keeping you informed of developments.

If you want any more info let me know

Stayed there with friends about 3 years ago and it was great. Maybe a bit old fashioned in places but very clean and quiet. We would certainly stay there again.

Have fun.
