Nintendo DS query help please.

Hi all. Last minute info required if anyone can help I'll be eternally grateful. We are getting the kids a Nintendo DS each. Hopefully a pink for Sara and blue for Mark. Trouble is I don't know how freely available they are at duty free and I don't want to get there and they be sold out. I was going to buy one at Walmart if not at duty free but have been told they are region specific and if I buy one over there games bought over here will not play.
Has anyone any advice please. Thanks

Dont know about how freely they are available at duty free but the games will be fine if you buy the ds over here the games in America will play fine on it and vice versa. The only thing with buying at walmart over there is when you come back you will need a different charger to charge it up as the charger you get over there will be a 2 pin plug

Not sure about nintendo ds, but my dd has got a nintendo gameboy advance and american games work perfectly on it.

Thanks for this. I have just rung T2 duty free and they have put one of each away for me ready for when we go on Wednesday morning. They were so helpful. Took my name and flight number and told me they were put away. Kids will be so chuffed. Thanks again
