Hi

try here for some good reviews of all the tours, I haven't done the backstage tour but we have booked up for the Dolphin in depth tour in Epcot for August.
Be warned you have to pay in full at the time of booking but you can cancel 48 hours before the day.

We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. At around 5 hours and a price of $54 each, including a sandwich lunch, we thought it good value for money.

We Did The Keys To The Kingdom Tour This Oct And I Was Slagged To Death On This Site For Saying Idid Not Enjoy It.
It Was Not Very Good, some People On Our Tour Asked For Their Money Back!!
On The Other Hand The Segway Tour At Epcot Was The Highlight Of Six Trips To Orlando.

I don't believe that I slagged you off as I think that each to their own opinion
I just cannot understand what was there not to like - 5 hours of a tour for around £35???????
Unless you got a rubbish guide - ours was great, answered all of our questions and we got a lot out of it.
I have not seen posted anywhere other people who have done this asking for their money back!

As for the Segway tour - guess you need to like Epcot a lot and there is no way you would catch me in one of those silly helmets:grin:

Thanks for the link! Everyone seems to have really enjoyed the tour and now I can't make my mind up whether to give it a go, or save some money and do the Keys of the Kingdom ...:confused2 Argghh ...

I guess I will have to get my trusty coin out again :d:

I agree with Sue, I can't understand what you did not like on the Keys to the Kingdom tour. We did it last year and really enjoyed it.

As for the Backstage tour we have not done that one but it does seem a lot of money especially if you are a family group.

We are going to do the Segway tour this coming trip and we can't wait!!!

What time of year are you going?
I think the one you are interested in is much longer than the K2K tour - we did it in September and the humidity nearly finished us off - we could not have coped with anything longer at that time

We are going at the end of March so it shouldn't be too bad (hopefully)!

I did the Epcot Undiscovered Future World tour a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't expensive and I enjoyed parts of it but I did find it a little disappointing. We spent a long time standing still while the guide repeated a lot of Disney history that would be common knowledge to any fan or anyone who had visited One Man's Dream in MGM. We went into a couple of sponsors' lounges which were extremely tatty and rather destroyed the image of a pristine Disneyworld. We went upstairs in the triangular pyramid in the Imagination pavilion. Some new cast members were receiving a training talk which would have been interesting if we could have got near enough to hear. The carpet up there was filthy and there was nothing to see. The best part was going to the cast area which is behind the Mexico pavilion. We saw their staff quarters, peeked into the wardrobe store (which was amazing) and chatted to the wig makers. That part was interesting as were the brief stops behind the scenes at Test Track and Mission Space. On the whole, it was reasonable value and some of it was very good but about 2 hours worth of material was spun out over 4 hours. One excellent perk was access to a reserved area for Illuminations viewing. I walked up to a front row seat with 5 minutes to spare. I would do another backstage tour but my expectations would be a little lower next time.

Over the last 3 years I have done both Keys to the Kingdom and Backstage Magic and have to say that I enjoyed both of them.

Backstage Magic is a tour in a coach which covered EPCOT, MGM and MK. In addition you also got to see the workshops where they maintained the rides, the Christmas store, the Disney florist, Costuming and backstage views of rides at each of the parks. You didn't go on any of the rides but you saw quite a few from backstage. The best bit of this was watching the afternoon parade from a dedicated area by the City Hall - you got to walk down Main Street waving to the crowds (and they all waved back!!!)

Keys to the Kingdom is a walking tour of MK which covers many areas of the park and although it was a lot shorter than the other tour your feet certainly knew you'd done the your by the end of the day. You got to jump to the front of the queue on a number of rides including POTC, Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Cruise.

Both tours ended up with a visit to the tunnels under Main Street which give a different view of the parks.
