Hi

I seem to remember a thread on the old forum that had info on what happens if you go to the Animal Kingdom very early, is it that there are some animals are there to see with CMs. if not is is worth gertting there at 8.00am, we would gladly go early if the animals were their as we are a family of animal lovers.

Hi
Once the turnstiles open, there are usually 3-4 CM's inside the gate, most commonly with insects - eg large spiders in a perspex box. Most people rush by to get to the safari - although there may be a block with more CM's for a few minutes by "Its Tough to be a bug" until the official opening time.
I'd say go early anyway, either to see the animals or to enjoy the safari at its best when the animals are most lively.
Enjoy .

if you're animal lovers - go as early as you can - they'll be more active in the morning. We loved AK - there's so much to see - we didn't do it all in a day and had to miss some things (another excuse to go back) - but I know of some people who saw all they wanted in an afternoon ?
I'm sure you'll love it.

AK is my favourite park and I think it's well worth getting there early. It has different moods at different times of the day, you should see them all.

Sigh, I wish I was there now....

we have so much to see this time in AK, when we last went in october1998 the day we chose to go there we were told it was 120 degrees in the park, we felt so hot and uncomfortable we left after about 3 hours, we saw the jungle book show and the safari and that was about it. we had unseasonal weather, for about 6 days out of the 14 and it was unbearable at times. even the temperature displays outside hotels as we were driving down the 192 were showing around about 100. so AK is a priority this time.

We were there before the gates opened and saw the talking palm tree.It was so good. Never could work out who was operating it.

Saw loads of characters when they opened the turnstiles, but dont remember the cm's holding any animals- but we did want to get photos of the characters, so probably miised them.

I was amazed that we didnt see all the Park in one day- from posts we'd read I'd expected to.

Would also say the parade was one we enjoyed the most

Yup,

Just to re-inforce the information already here.

When you go through there are usually "meeters & greeters" with things like tarantula spiders etc in big perspex boxes.

They also have characters like Baloo and King Loius hanging around for a quick photo call etc.

Remember, Asia opened up 1 hour later than the rest of the park - I assume that this is still the case.

we missed the spiders (SHAME...) but we did see loads of characters at the gates.

We were on of the folks who 'did it' in 1/2 a day - but since we've got back, I've realised that we only saw about half the park - so this time I am hoping to take a more leisurely approach and see everything.

Bev, we actually spent nearly 1 1/2 days there and still missed a bit .
