View Full Version : Girls can look their best at Disney
World of Disney, the huge store in Downtown Disney will soon be opening a kiddie salon.
The 50,000-square-foot outlet of all things Mousy is adding a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique -- named for the song that Cinderella's fairy godmother sings -- for girls who want to get their hair, nails and makeup done like a princess.
The boutique opens in April at the Downtown Disney store and will include 10 chairs where girls can get fancy up-dos or hair extensions.
Kiddie spa treatments are increasingly popular these days. The younger set has its own money to spend -- and even if Little Miss is broke, a growing number of status-conscious parents are happy to indulge her.
Disney's Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs already offer kid primping including "my first facial" for $65 and a "my first pedicure" for $30.
At the World of Disney, the highest-end package will include the works -- hair, makeup, nails, a princess gown and a glam photo -- and will probably be close to $100.
Disney will also be adding a new area for more princess merchandise and an "adventure" area for boys with pirate and superhero gear.

I can see this being a big hit - dd spotted the pamphlet for the "my first pedicure" when we stayed at OKW and wanted to try it :confused2

Disney must do something to my sense of reality, I read that and thought $100 isn't too bad. Yikes!

I immediately thought ouch, but if you think a princess dress sets you back $60-$80 I guess the rest isn't too bad at all lol

It was the dress that I was thinking off too. I have seen people spend over $100 on dress, plastic crown, plastic shoes, wig etc.

Do they get to keep the princess gown or is it just put on them for the photo. Some of the dresses i was looking at were $100 before you bought any other bits so it's a good price if they get to keep it. I can see this being very popular

Anymore info my DD (5) would love this, not sure about her letting them brush her hair but the make up and clothing would be her dream. Is it on the Disney website yet?
The boutique sounds like a brilliant idea; hopefully you wont be required to have the WHOLE get up; The $100 price tag is definitely over the top !!! :(
Make-up and Nails would be just perfect......
Im sure well be FORCED (!!!) to make a visit on our Easter trip, dont think our soon to be 6 yr old would forgive us if we missed it out.!! Dont expect the 11yr old will be too bothered (thank god !!!!!!!!!!!!)
Not long to go now! :wavey: :pgig:
