hi and happy new year to all:wave:
has anyone stayed at liki tiki resort on the 192 recently and if so what is
it like
thanks:smile:
Hi alisonjones
I stayed their march 05, and love it, the resort itself is great, the rooms are lovely, everything you need, cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and the list keeps going on. The resort itself is very clean, the pool areas are excellent for the kids, all the swimming pools are within walking distance. On a thursday around lunch time, they had hot dogs, tachos with cheese all free, just help yourself, which is good for the kids, their is alot to do for the young children, activities each lunch time. The food from the bar was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can purchase all the tickets from there, but I always buy mine before I go. I would highly recommend this resort. The only downside is it is right at the end of 192, and you can miss the turning as it is set back, but we had a car so it never bothered us. Disney is only 10 minutes drive, and downtown kissimmee was 5 minutes, there is many restaurants to choose from and a publix is just up the road from the resort (2 minutes drive). If you have anymore questions fell free to ask.

We visited in August '05. I would totally endorse the comments above. The accommodation is the size of a villa but obviously with only one or two bedrooms. i.e. huge bedroom, bathroom and lounge. Great kitchen area and decent washer and dryer.
As there was only two of us this year we couldn’t afford a villa and finding this resort was a bonus. In fact the only good thing TCD managed.:nonono: :nonono:
Security was good with guards at the gate and regular patrols.
We had a ground floor room looking out onto a lake. The local duck/geese population would come right up to our room and try and get in. :d: They were so tame I saw a boy pick one up and carry it around for a while without it being bothered at all.
:jump: :beer2: :jump:
One other thing alison, at the lake you can fish, my husband hired a fishing rod( get them at the swimming pool area) and he caught 2 nice fish, and they were big!!! It is a nice resort, they were building a mini crazy golf, it should be completed now. I think if you chose this resort you will not be disappointed.
