Turns out Col's girls really prefer to go to California to Orlando - how could they - sob!!
Anyway as we can't really expect them to share a room with us and it's not really practical to get 2 hotel rooms per night, we're thinking of either suites or a villa type thing.
Personally I'm trying to talk them into a villa in Orlando but que sera etc.
Anyone have any sites etc where I can start looking for villa type stays in the Santa Monica area???
TIA

Hi Elise, if you can get hold of a california with kids book-i cant find mine anywhere-it has accomadations in california. Many of them were apartments and villas, that are let from agencies, holiday homes i suppose. They did seem, from description quite nice, but a little more pricey than orlando. When i find my copy, i post some info.
I came across a website that advertised villas in Santa Monica, will try and find it if I can.

and then do a search for vacation homes /rentals in Santa Monica and see what else is around

There's a website called VRBO (Vacation Rentals By Owners) and they have villas and condo's in California. It's more expensive that Florida and more difficult to decide where to base yourself because all of the places to see are spread over such a wide area. If you are just going for Disney, Knotts and Seaworld then there are some nice condos in the Dana Point/San Juan Capistrano areas.
