Anyone got any idea's where to go at feb half term for a week ? (18th feb)
Family of four (2 boys aged 2 and 7) looking for a bit of relaxation and some sun therefore good weather. So far i've found a great hotel in the algarve but not sure about the weather there in feb - anyone been ?
Open to any idea's !!:d:
Thanks in advance :thumbs-up
I have not been to the Algarve although from the web you appear right to resist it http://uk.weather.com/outlook/travel/vacationplanner/weather/tenday/POXX0022?x=18&letter=P&y=9 highs of 14-16' C for Feb and March. For sun I think you are going to have to go long-haul, or at least to the Canaries.
As an alternative, no sun but no problem, I can recommend the continental Centerparcs - esp. de Kempervennen in the Netherlands. Much better than ther UK ones.

thanks for the reply I will definately look at this center parc idea as I have been to the one in the lake district several times and love it there :)

I think the Canaries would be a good idea, not too far on a plane and would expect pretty decent weather.

I think Egypt would be a much better choice weather wise, and there are some good bargains for this part of the world at the moment - the only downside is the flight times...5-6 hours depending where you are going. :d:
Make sure you pick a good 5* hotel (they are not too expensive out there) and you should be fine tummy wise.
Don't be tempted by Tunisia as it is sunny but a cool breeze blows off the sea that time of year.

Thanks for all your help just managed to get a 4 star all inclusive in fuerteventura for a week - delighted as this hotel gets fantastic reviews on trip advisor and got it for a great price !;) As this is not our main holiday I only had so much to spend as this is down to a surprise rebate from the tax man !!:spin: :D so all the drinks and food will taste even better and the weather should be great !
Another recommendation of Centerparcs in the Netherlands. We went to De Kempervennen last August for a week & it was fantastic & so much cheaper than the normal CPs over here

Jenelle which hotel in Fuerteventura have you booked? If it's the Barcelo in Caleta de Fuste then you're in for a treat - we stayed there a couple of years ago and it was fab.
