Does anyone know if there is any American football on to go and see in Orlando in October 2006. DS loves watching it on NASN.

NFL schedule for 2006 is not out yet. Closest NFL game would be Tampa but in the past tickets have been scarce and expensive. The Buccs sell out every year to season ticket holders so the only way I have found to get tickets is through an online agency. Might be a college game on but again, I've never seen them in Orlando.

The 2006 NFL schedule won't be out until April-ish (I think), and the regular season runs from late August to end of December. There are also college games in Orlando - University of Central Florida play at the Citrus Bowl on Saturdays.

Get yourself down to Tampa for a Bucs game if you can and watch the Cadillac go motoring....

Keep an eye out on this website for the Bucs fixtures (it's the British Bucs fans website):-

I think you may struggle to get tickets for College games - they are normally sold out, as I understand.
You can try with the Buccs - but you could also try Jacksonville, and make a weekend of it. Watch www.nfl.com for details around fixtures. I would advise against going to preseason matches - they are played (mostly) by the reserve players and do not represent value for money. If you can get to see a regular season fixture though, it will change your perception on how we treat spectators in this country. I've attended 3 games at the old Anaheim Staduim (to see The Rams!) and one at the Colisseum (to see the Raiders!!) in LA - it's a 'whole new ballgame' believe me!

Best of luck.

My DH is a big football fan and he managed to get some good tickets to see the Bucs last November on Ticketmaster. He was shocked to get them to be honest as he knew it was virtually impossible! Once upon a time - when the Bucs were rubbish! - you could pick your seats but not any longer! As others have said there's also the Jags in Jacksonville - but DH had trouble trying to get tickets for the Jags game last year as they only sell the tickets themselves NOT via ticketmaster and were VERY unhelpful when he rang to ask for help!

The other option - and DH's personal favourite team - is the Dolphins in Miami. We did their game in 2004 and had a great time. Again we got the tickets when the fixtures first came out via ticketmaster. You just ask for them to be at the 'will call' window and go and collect them on the day of the game.

Have fun!

My OH would love this as well, he loves American Football, only thing is he supports the Philly Eagles.

The Buccs (in the NFC) now meet the Eagles once every three years. Not sure if they played them this year, though.

Hi Marty
We went to see the tampa bay bucs play the atlanta falcons on chritmas eve and it was brilliant. I bought the tickets for my husband but the whole family really enjoyed the day. The atmosphere was fantastic and the stadium was easy to reach from orlando. Go for it.

Hi Marty
If you register with Ticketmaster for a specific event they will notify you when the tickets are to be released. For Tampa Bay games, the tickets are initially released to Buccs members and then a few days later to the general public. I went on line the day the tickets went on general sale and this year was lucky enough to get tickets for all 6 of us in the front row of the stand. It was a fantastic view and a fantastic game as the winners went through and the losers went home for the season. We've been to see the Buccs on a few occasions and it gets better each time.
