anyone know any good hotels around the wembley stadium area. We are going down on 10th June for Bon Jovi and will need to stay over the saturday night.

We will probably drive down early saturday morning and maybe park at hillingdon as we can get the metropoliton line direct from there to wembley. Anybody have any other suggestions? I really do not know london at all and have only evewr been twice.

I've stayed at the Quality-that was fine-the Wembley Plaza also looked good and was close. Both are near enough to walk back afterwards rather than battle with all the cars trying to leave after a concert. Both hotels should offer a good rate for parking at the hotel (and safer than leaving a car overnight in Hillingdon IMHO)

Thankyou both, thinking we may drive down friday and stop in hotel both friday and saturday night, rather than trying to get into the centre of London on the actual saturday. Is it easy enough to drive into the wembley area? and would we be going into the congestion zone? do most hotels have car parking facilities???

Hi,

Wembly isn't in the congestion zone so you'll be ok.

It may be worth looking up the hotel to see if they have car parking and if there's a charge.

Suzanne, that is some drive, can you not get one of the cheap flights from your nearest airport - it will probably be cheaper than the petrol

A lot of London hotels (central ones anyway) charge a fair price for car parking, I do not fancy driving in London, I think London must have one of the best and affordable public transport systems in the UK.

I also recall my drive up from Manchester last Oct, the first 3 hours on the motorway were murder, 110 miles in 3 hours. I don't mind driving but I find it so frustrating when stuck in congestion.

George- we will be driving down to leeds on the friday morning to drop kids off at my parents, we will then drive down to london friday afternoon. Our friends are coming with us who live in Hull, my husband and his friend both work for the same company so our friend can drive DH's company car so they can share driving, also we get personal fuel so it won't actually cost us anything..LOL

Clare the plaza is already booked surprise surprise!!!

I'm thinking of using something in one of the outer tube station locations such as uxbridge, watford or stanmore, what do you think??

isnt the Wembley Plaza a "Hilton Hotel". We stayed here april 04 when hubby ran london Marathon. I remember looking out our room window at the stadium.

Good luck
