....that is the question.

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous prices Or to take arms against a sea of brochures, And by opposing, end them by DIY-ing?"

Apologies to Billy Shakespeare.

Out of curiosity (that and looking at Septembers hols) how do you plan your trips. Do you pop to the travel agents/internet and book the whole lot as a package, or, like me, book everything yourselves and save a packet?

We have done it each way.
Ist trip was a flydrive and private villa booked direct with the owner.
2nd was a package.
3rd was a flydrive and 3 hotels booked direct.
Next one is a package as it turned out to be cheaper than I could book independently.

You just have to shop around for the best deals.

Ah, on this site it's more appropriate to say "to TCD or not to TCD that is the question"

Some will say "TCD now is the summer of our discontent."

Others will say "O TCD, TCD! wherefore art thou TCD?"

I say "A plague o' both your houses!"

You'll find that people here book by all mechanisms depending on their circumstances. For my personal circumstances, it has never been cheaper to go the DIY route over the brochure route. For others I'm sure its completely the opposite.
