I have read somewhere that when the MGM is open late, if you are lucky enough to be on Tower of Terror at midnight there is a special surprise. Does anyone know what this is? If you don't want to post this and spoil the surprise for anyone else, could someone PM me. My DS6 love this ride, but I am worried that anything extra may be too intense. :confused2

Thanks

I have not heard of anything special, that doesn't mean that there isn't, just that I have not heard about it :)

I suppose if anyone would know it would be Matt at http://www.mgmstudios.org/tot.html

We were lucky enough to be on ToT at midnight on an EMH night and a CM in the queue told us that midnight is the only time the tower ever does a full height drop. I don't know if that is true or not, but it was certainly a huge drop, I thought it was never going to stop. The view from the top in the dark is fantastic too.

Boy was it scary, but fun too!

That is one of the pre programmed sequences that can be experienced at any time along with the one that shoots up!! :)

I want to do a full drop :(

Most of the time the ride is fantastic, but sometimes the ride sequence isn't very good only dropping a few floors at a time.

definately going to have to do this next time, i wussed out even though DS 3 went on with hubby. It was the green look on DH's face that put me off and the fact DS said he didn't want to do it again which was very unusual for our little thril seeker. I just don't fancy going on on my own.

I noticed that all the hand rails have gone, we were all laughing at one of our family because they were sat in the jump seat the seat at the back in the middle,. then we got in and we didnt have no hand rails either

How do you know if you've done a full drop? Isn't the first drop on every ride a full one or am I confused?

There are several randomised ride sequences, so you never know what you are going to get.
have a look at the attached diagrams that show some of the sequences

I was really looking forward to our next trip and you go and mention ToT.

IT SENDS A SHIVER DOWN MY SPINE JUST THINKING ABOUT IT !!

I hate this ride but I always go on it and scream all the way down, then scream all the way up and all the way down again, why???
