Does anyone know if the 5 park flexticket allows you to use the Universal Express system? :confused2

UE is supposedly free to all park guests, like Disney's FastPass, but recent reports indicate they are rationing it to certain times now, and it may not be available at all. However, you can buy booklets of tickets allowing one UE access to main rides... the price varies from $10-25 or so depending on time of year. This policy has recently generated a lot of negative comments from visitors..

If you stay on-site, at one of the 3 Universal hotels, you get UE access all day at both parks (you still need a park ticket)

Universal has a different view of Express lanes to Disney. In Disney anyone with an entry ticket can use the express passes line once they have the Fast pass in their hand. In Universal they sell Express tickets to the public that give front of the line access. Also if you stay in a Universal Hotel you use the room key for front of the line access. I have been a number of times and I have noticed of late that Universal have not had their "free" Express machines working. I get the feeling that they put more emphasis on " paid " front of the line access rather than getting it via an express pass.

I do tend to go not in the height of the season so maybe they do unveil them at those times.
