We are going to Vegas in April and staying at Excalibur for DH 40th Birthday, can anyone give me any info on doing something really special out the for him (keep it clean!!). Have been trying to look for shows etc but if you have any sites for this I would really be gratefull. Any advice will be gratefully received.
I stayed at Excalibur and I loved the hotel and its location. My DH would have loved to have flown over the strip, but I chickened out. Vegas is out of this world, i enjoyed it as much as Disney.

If you want something really special try a limo out to the airport, then flying out to the grand canyon by helicopter and having a champagne brekkie as the sun comes up. About 300 bucks each but as the Americans say - it's totally awesome!!!

We got married in Vegas in 2004 and it was amazing. Never been to a place like it! If you want to do something romantic go to the Venetian and go on the gondelia (SP?). We had out wedding night meal at the Top of the World restaurant which is at the top of the tower of the Stratosphere. It takes minutes for the restaurant to revolve the whole way round and you get a great view if the wholeof Vegas. Expensive but well worth it - the fillet mignion was to die for!

www.vegas.com is a good website for planning in Las Vegas.
As others have said, a champagne heli flight to the Grand Canyon is fab, we did it for my 30th the year before last, best thing i've ever done!
Loads of shows on the at moment.. does he like Celine Dion? I think Elton is still there too. Blue Man Group has also got great reviews, and 'We Will Rock You' is also showing over there.

Hiya i took my wife last year to Vegas went with BMI and we also stayed in Excalibur booked everything seperate and saved a bomb.
A dibber provided the following link and it was quite intresting site www.cheapovegas.com
I also arranged for a limo to pick us from the airport to the hotel and we got it for an hour an it cost $60 plus tax, plus tip which was around $90
Do one of the resident Cirque shows. There all good and well worth the money.

We too got married in Vegas in 1999 & weve been back twice since then & we both love it. We did the night flight up & down the strip in a helicopter & it was amazing & the best thrill ride I've ever experienced. I don't think it cost a lt of money as well & they picked us up from the hotel & dropped us back after. You could ride the Big Shot on top of the Statosphere or the roller coaster on New York, New York or fly out to the grand canyon either in a plane or helicopter. You'll love it.

I also can highly recomend The Top of The World Rest in the Strat. Tower
Celine Dion Show is fantastic.
If you are planning any trips to Grand Cannyon, I suggest you don't leave it to the end of your holiday like we did. Ours was cancelled due to bad weather, there was no time to rebook so we missed out on that experience.
You will have a fab time.

I would also second the Grand Canyon trip. We flew by a light aircraft, had an afternoon touring various sites along the canyon. When we returned it was dark and LV is an amazing sight at night from the air.
