The first week of May Fantasmic is at 8:30 pm, would like to book tickets for H & V, what is the best time eat?, we won't be going on rides after we've eaten and my 9 yr old is a very slow eater!
Is this better for kids and seniors or is the Brown Derby?
many thanks

We really enjoyed it here, we had a PS for 6.30pm which was perfect. The kids found lots of food that they liked and the desserts are really good.

We ate at 4.30 last year, had a nice leisurely meal, no one pushes you out of the door, had a couple of drinks, and just about had time for one little wander before we were off to get seated for Fantasmic.

I have booked H & V for 6.30pm and the fantasmic show is at 9pm. Do they give you a ticket or something in the restraunt so you can get in the express que for fantasmic? I heard you have to go through a different entrance, is it easy to find?

Also we will be using the disney transport to get back to ASM - will this still be running after the show?

We will booked a fantasmic package, when you first book ( 180 days) they usually give you an early time slot around 16:30. If you want an earlier time you may need to phone again nearer the time and alter the reservation.
To be honest I'm not really worried about the time as you are still guaranteed seats at Fantasmic and it will save having to arrive 1-2 hours before the show.
The entrance is usually by the stroller rental which is just after the park entrance on the right hand side.
You need to allow 5-10 mins at a steady pace to get to the stadium and from what i can remember you need to be their at least 30 mins before the show starts.
The tickets will be given to you at the start of your meal.
The whole right hand section is reserved for the package and seating is on a first come first serve basis.
We booked the package twice 2 years ago in July and got a good seat 45 mins from the start of the show. The other areas of the stadium were already full.
Last year we went in May but did not book the package as all the times were around 4pm for a 9pm show. We went to the show only 1 hour before the start and were able to get a better seat than with the package right in the centre of the stadium.
I would still tend to book the package particularly at peak times of the year as I think we were rather lucky last year.
We did it in September and were originally given a time of 4.30pm (for an 8pm show) which was fine. We thought that we could eat and then do a few rides, before heading off for Fantasmic. On the day though, we were at Seaworld in the morning and realised that we were pushing it to get to MGM for 4.30, so I rang from Seaworld (FREE local calls, unlike Disney) and managed to change it to 5.30pm. Great timing, leisurely meal, not rushed at all and then time for restroom stop and a browse before Fantasmic.
