It's our first time to WDW and would appreciate a bit of help from experienced Dibbers :)
I understand that ADR's can be made 180 days in advance, but my confusion is:
Is it 180 days from the start date of the holiday :erm:
or
180 days from the date required for the meal
:erm: :confused2
If its the latter that applies then do I have to phone each day?
Please help, cos I'm confused. :confused2
thanks

Hi Jon
I notice you are staying at Disney POR , this means that you can book any ADRs from the day you arrive and 10 days after that. I did exactly that today. I dont think you can book the 10 days in advance for CRT though.
The only trouble I had today was that they asked for Disney booking no which I do not have as we have booked through Virgin. I was told to ring back with this no. but I could still do my ADRs.

Hi Jon
Yes its 180 days from the date required for the meal. Like Caron has said you can make ADRs for a further 10 days :)

Hi Caron
Thanks for your reply, it's a great help.
So now I've got 14 days to plan the itinerary :omg: :confused2
I'm never going to get any work done now:grin: ;)
Do you have any recommendations for any of the restaurants?

Hi Jon
Everybody has their favourite Disney restaurants it all depends on what you want- character meals, buffets, romantic settings or exquisite food to name but a few.
We love character meals and buffets as it suits our family circumstances. Our favourites are Liberty Tree tavern and Garden Grill. If you do a search on the restaurant reviews here on the Dibb you may get more of an idea.
Also, a look at Bob&Dawn's and Mcsue's trip reports will give you an idea of restaurants they have visited.
We are trying lots of different ones this year, until you try you don't know. I know it is daunting though. The first time we went to WDW we only ate at one Disney restaurant (not our choice), last time we ate at 6 and this time we are eating at many more:d:
Good Luck and happy Planning.
Caron
The CRT meals can be booked in the 10 day period from the start of the holiday, along with any other location. I have done that and it does give a bit of a head start.
Hi Caron

Not sure of your party make-up but can highly recommend Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge, great family style meal and entertainment:grin: There have been a few threads on this recently. I am currently reading all the printed out menus for WDW :tounge: as we have booked the dining plan for our Xmas trip and June is not far off for our ADR's:pgig: Got these from allears.net/dining
