We are a football loving family and we will be staying at Formosa Gardens from 29/6 until 13/7, so we need some ideas on where to watch the football?
I think my husband had a brain storm when he agreed to the timing of our holiday but it's to late for him to change his mind now:grin: - there are three families going, so would take a lot of re-jigging.
Our villa is meant to have all mod cons, will it have satelite TV?

We are going to be in Sarasota, are there any good pubs at St Armands that I can dump my husband in whilst I am sunbathing?
The English pub on the 192 will be showing the games

Most pubs of the British variety will probably be showing it...........at a price:smile: .
Unfortunately the 2006 World Cup tv schedule for games to be shown in Florida has not yet been revealed.

We get Premeirship football in our package and sometimes it is live, so no doubt the guests in our villa will be able to watch the world cup depending on US scheduling.

The rights to the 2006 World Cup and to Premiership football are owned by two totally different bodies and many so called experts are suggesting that the World Cup is likely to be pay per view in the USA:smile: .

The thing with football/soccerl in the States is it is no way as popular as all the other sports, mainly because it is not high scoring, so it might not be pay as you view if there is not enough/demand interest in it. Me if don't give a monkeys as I am a sports widow during these blasted things. Only last night hubby asks me will I be "excited to go to the World Cup final if he gets the tickets he bid for", he could not understand when I said "no", "what not even if you get to buy a new dress, it will be prestegious"......."eh no darling, new dress or no new dress"!

I sympathise - I was forced to watch the Champions League when we were over there....as a Utd fan, it made it all the more painful, lol! We watched it in a Brit pub on I-Drive.
To be fair, it was our last day, we'd been to IOA & we were heading back to the hotel....it was a lazy day....my suggestion.....was quite an experience so glad we did it, even if they did win, lol! :D

Hello :wavey:
We made a boo by flying out the day before the final.:(
Think England have a good chance:grin:
hoping we can find somewhere on site to watch it
with USA being in it thought would have more of a chance.
