We've been - daughter was upset because we ended up on a picnic bench not in a car:d: but a least we got a table. Can't remember the exact menu but it was delicious and reasonable and the cookies and cream milkshake was deeeeelisious!

The atmosphere was strange. Not that easy to chat but it was a great experience.

From memory the menu is the normal burgers etc.

Not sure if I would go with a young family though - if you are in a car you sit in rows of two with the table in front of you. As already mentioned, chatting isn't that easy, infact its the quietest resturant I've ever eaten in!!

Its all very dark and quiet and the big screen shows clips from old scary movies (the odd zombie but nothing too nasty).

Please don't let me put you off as it really is an experience I don't think you'll get anywhere else and we've been twice so it can't be that bad!! ;)

this is one I have hummed and hawed about but in the end, the feedback I tend to hear is "it reminds me of the good old days of the drive-in" well I don't have such memories to reflect on and as said if you get allocated a car then perhaps it would be fine, I've decided to do a decent breakfast then hollywood & vine dinner instead.

MGM has to be the most difficult park to get good food. just my observation.

lunch menu (http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_sci.htm) and dinner menu (http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_scid.htm) and kids menu (http://allearsnet.com/menu/men_sflk.htm)

There are some more details and reviews in the Restaurant Reviews section of the Dibb, scroll up and click on the blue menu bar above.

We love Sci-Fi, but I'm not sure it is a great choice for small kids. It is quite dark as the setting is a starry sky with the main lighting coming from the dashboards of the cars and the big screen does show some alien monsters which could upset little ones. You know your kids, so will be the best judge of whether it is something they will enjoy.

We loved the SciFi Diner but would agree with Lynn above - it is VERY dark (particularly at the back of the cars) and as you all face forwards, supervising young ones could be problematic.
