I read/watch everything I can about Titanic, I've been fascinated by the story since being a young girl and was a bit fed up that I didn't get to see the Titanic Exhibition on I-Drive on our last visit. I want to go and see it in October...am I going to be dissapointed, more importantly will the kids enjoy it or are they going to be bored stiff (DD is 9).
Also wondered if Ripleys and Wonderworks are worth the entrance fee, they look great from the outside but will we be wasting our money?

Thanks

never did the titanic. Did manage to do wonderworks and it was not worth the money, we only managed to entertain ourselves for an hour. Much better to go to disneyquest, imo.

Get the Go Orlando card and you can do all of those things for one price in one single ticket - Ripleys, Wonderworks, Titanic, Fun Spot Action Park, Congo River Gold etc

We absolutely loved the Titanic exhibition, and we are not really Titanic fans as such.

It is a very well, and imaginatively, presented exhibition - I thought it was the best thing we did outside of Disney last time. Definitely worth the money IMO.:thumbs-up

On the other hand I would agree that Wonderworks was nothing special - a bit over priced but something to do if the weather was bad I suppose.:(

I asked a similar Q on Wonder works and ripleys believe it or not and had comments saying that these 2 were not worth the money.
Titanic was mentioned and had good reviews so i asked the kids if they would like to do it, they jumped at it, as they love the film and all the history behind it.
So we will be doing that first and if we have time we may think about wonderworks after.

Thanks everybody.....mixed reviews there for Titanic. I might send the kids off to play crazy golf with DH while I go for a look around, I'll see what they want to do.
I'll look into the Go Orlando card as well, thanks kjb.
marv, I look forward to reading about it in your trip reports when you get back:thumbs-up

We loved Titanic Ex, my DD who was 8 at the time was engrossed;) ;) Our tour guide was brilliant and knew his stuff. We have done Titanic twice now:grin:

If it's something you are interested in then give it a whirl.

I must admit, I always seem to have different opinions than most on here but, FWIW, my tuppence worth.

Went to Wonderworks on our first trip in 2004, with the intention of killing an hour or so before dinner. Arrived about 5ish and were extremely surprised when we left, over 4 hours later, having thoroughly enjoyed it. In my opinion, for that sort of thing DisneyQuest is better, however with the money off coupons we had, we thought it was well worth the money and intend to go again this year, to take the kids.

We have been to the Titanic exhibition and we thought it was time well spent. Our problem was that there was a little know it all there who kept interupting the guide if there was a slight discrepancy--my then 5 yr old grandson. He has been Titanic mad ever since he saw the film, but nuts about the boat itself, and all the details. He has as many books as could be found for him with the history/facts about the boat, and he absorbed them all. We made it a surprise for him the first time we went to the exhibition and he was dancing in the car park when he realised where he was going. He went a second time with my husband while i entertained his little sister, now he satisfies himself by going and buying things from the Titanic shop at the end of the exhibition. You also get souveneir entry tickets with the name on of one of the original passengers from Titanic, these are stuck in photo albums along with pictures of an "iceberg" Yes, if you are interested-worth a visit.

use the money to spend an extra day in one of the other parks.

My wife is much like yourself when it comes to being Titanic daft and she really enjoyed the show when we went. But she said now that she has done it"although it was really good" she is quite happy to give it a miss if we are lacking time to fit it in:erm: I would say do it if you like it that much you will enjoy it but I doubt you would find it a waste of time, just remember it is NOT the film you are going to see so do not expect too much then you won`t be dissapointed.

Never made it to Ripleys but Wonderworks is not a patch on Disneyquest and Titanic boring and a waste of money.

why not just come to Belfast where the Titanic was built and do the Titanic Quarter tour. also they have just bought the Nomadic which was used to ferry passengers out to the Titanic , and are from what i have read going to refit it out,[ this is the last of the White Star lines boats] do not know if it will be part of exhibition or restaurant.
