If you buy it here in the UK what they will send you is an exchange voucher which becomes active only when you exchange it at the ticket desk for an active pass. That is then valid for one year from that day.
If you buy one at the ticket desk it will be active straight away. The expiry date is printed on it.

We bought a pass last year purely knowing we were doing a trip for a month this August and it was much more cost effective.
If you plan your time well and book another holiday within the time scale of your pass it really makes it a good deal
Changes to plan last Aug (bombing in Turkey put us off going!) we booked a 2 week trip only 3 weeks prior to leaving knowing we had already bought APH and the time didnt overlap meaning we could still use it for nearly the whole of our trip this Aug.
Even better we then thought A Feb trip would well and truely get our moneys worth
As already said you get a voucher which you redeem at the ticket window and it then becomes valid from that date
We bought our park ticket seperately to our water park APH as it worked out cheaper than buying it as a package which includes Disney quest and World Wide world of sport which we knew we wouldnt use.
We also bought Universal Aphs too so a WHOLE LOT OF PARKS for a reasonable amount of money:pgig:

Just to let you know, there is no discount for buying an annual pass in advance, the only thing you gain is knowing the exchange rate and being able to plan better, If you order the voucher you have to pay shipping, though i think you can do the "will call" option for free still.
We intend getting an AP for our trip in April and realise that if I order now they will send me an exchange certificate. My question is can I use this exchange certificate to checkin at a Disney resort on the day of arrival or do I have to use an activated one?
Can I purchase AP's at the disney store at Orlando airport? That way I will not have to part with my money until absolutely necessary?
Thanks
Elaine
