We are going for a long weekend to Sherwood forest Centre Parcs a week on Friday (feb 3rd). I have been plenty of times to Centre Parcs but I never seem to arrive at the right time, we are either way too early and spend ages sat in a restaurant before going to get the car or we get there a bit late and pretty much wasted the first day there.
Does anyone have any tips on when they arrive? We are thinking of leaving home at about 9:00 am which will get us there at about 10:30 is this too early do you think?
Also has anyone got a pictures of Sherwood forest I havent been there for about 12 years.
BTW it is only myself and my wife (How romantic!!)
Thanks
Kai

we went to Sherwood forest a few years back, it's still lovely and has a few new things now, such as an indian restaurant, a new canyon water raft ride and loads of new villas. We always try to get there early but as you say you do enbd up just hanging around and usually all the restaurants are packed. We tend to go to the supermarket and do our shop and arrange for it to be delivered, we also go to the spa and book our spa sessions and treatments then have a nice meal for lunch (and pancakes at the pancake house) then it's time to head to the villa.
On the other hand we always waste the last day, once we have packed up the car we just get in and go home, we always have intenetions of staying but by the time we are sorted we can't bothered and just leave.
Have a great time
We have done Sherwood Forest once and Oasis about nine times!! We do the same thing for the first day and get there approx 11ish and have lunch early, the restaurants are not too bad at about 11.30 with the breakfast bunch leaving but a bit early for everyone else. We then go in the pool at about 2ish, we find most people want to be in their lodges for 3pm on the dot so normally the pool is really light between 2.30 and 4.
It makes it easier to leave getting your car till later as there isn't such a jam!
You can always get into the lodge and have a drink etc before getting the car.
Hope it helps.. have fun !!

Yeah we usually do that, the only problem is you get all sweaty and have to go home like that yuck! (unless you go for a swim/shower)
We go to CP a lot & always aim to be there by about 10:30/11am.
We'll have a wander around, grab some lunch & then head to the swimming pool before going to collect the car & driving to the villa.
Have a great time & the Aqua Sana at Sherwood Forest is lovely.

We were there last week and had a great time.
WE got there just before 11 & went straight to bike hire - no queue, then went to the pool & stayed in till 4. Monday & Friday are the busy days in the pool but it wasn't packed. We had the kids with us so they were quite happy to eat in there, burger & chips etc. Though the bar does serve sarnies & jacket potatoes. But if it had been just DH & I , I think we have come out earlier & eaten somewhere a bit more civilised.
Loved the new Grand Cascade - family boat ride, it's open 11am-7pm but it is up 5 flights of stairs & only 1 boat down at a time. So check the queue. Boats/ rafts? seat up to 4 but they did let 2 people in but be warned they may ask you to share.
Sorry no photos, but any more questions?
