We watched the parade from outside the Jimmy Neutron ride but be prepared to get there 30-45 mins before it starts to stake your place! The parade itself is quite fun but not really up to Disney standards, I guess because there are no characters my kids didn't really get it! We had to queue for quite a while to get into Universal on the evening of the Mardi Gras which suprised us a bit so allow plenty of time (we were staying onsite at the HRH so it was just a short stroll)
What evening will you be there?
Nicola
PS We saw a sort of short character thing during the day with Woody Woodpecker, Scooby Doo etc on a sort of open top bus thing, not sure if that is what you were talking about for the kids...
