Staying on 192 in May and trying to source places to go for crafting supplies.
Some people have told me that Walmart is good for this sort of stuff, has anyone any ideas? Does Disney themselves sell scrapbboking stuff?

Thanks v much

Hi,

I'm not into scrapping but i did notice a few things in and around Disney however there are a few scrappers on the boards.

Have you checked out http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/ for info ?

One of the best places is Michaels. It's a bit like our hobbycraft, but cheaper!

There is also a store called Jo-annes on the 192, it's a superstore one, but in my opinion, I prefer Michaels

Walmart is ok, but don't bank on getting anything in particular.
Disney do have a few things, but they need searching out.

Hope this helps.

I was going to say there is a huge brand new Joanns on the 192, quite a way out, near a walmart and super target! There are quite a few Michaels around, just look at their website for store locator.

Michaels is too dear I think, I bought the same products in Wal*Mart and they were a couple of dollars cheaper. Wal*Mart has a smaller selection but it is a good price and Joannes is worth a visit also.

Michaels is so CHEAP, as is Joannes.
There is a proper scrapbooking shop near the Florida Mall (Scrapbook Boutique) and quite a few others in and around Orlando

Michaels - there are 2, one is quite near Universal, in the same shopping center as Sweet Tomatoes - head for Belz and it's just before there.

there is a newer one, on Sand Lake Road a couple of junctions before you get to the FLorida Mall.

Both Michaels and Joanns, look for coupons in the paper, or flyers as you enter the store, they often have 40 or 50% off

Disney World have their own range of Scrapbooking supplies called 'Capture the Magic'. There are papers, stickers, albums, embellishments - loads of stuff really. If you're going to Downtown Disney, check out Wonderful World of Memories in Marketplace - they have lots of lovely stuff to pick from. Have fun!! :D

Michael's is also at the Loop on Osceola Parkway and John Young.

Sorry to show my ignorance but what exactly is scrapping? I think it's probably something I could really get into as I love all things crafty.

Scrapbooking. Making page layouts with papers, embellishments and photo's. Very big in USA, and getting more popular by the week!

Check out QVC and Create and Craft on Sky - channels 630 and 664.

For Disney stuff, I remember Suzie picking up some Capture The magic scrapbook papers. She thinks she got it from the shop just by the entrance to AK. They had other stuff in there as well, but I wouldnt give her the CC.;)
That had already gone into meltdown  at the Joanns shop on the 192
