I've been told by a friend that the ET ride in US is either shut or about to be closed. I've looked around but can't find anything to prove/disprove this?
Anyone been recently and can comment?

Thanks

Noooooo it can't be gone, we love it too! It was there in July. I've not heard any rumours of closure.

Its the one in California that closed. I think they built the Mummy in its place.

OK brilliant, my friend must have heard about that one. Good to hear, my kids (and me) loved it.

ET is alive and well at Universal Orlando. Unfortunately ET has been replaced in Universal Hollywood by the Mummy ride.

Having been on the Mummy Ride in California can anyone tell me if it is the same as the one that has replaced King Kong in Orlando?

ET scared me, it was being suspended by cables on a that did it. There were all these kids pedalling and waving and me holding on for grim death.

You had me worried then....been back just over a week, can you believe we did all the parks and this was my DD 4 most favourite ride - does she tell anyone of her breakfast in the castle or of meeting Mickey Mouse NO she tells everyone she loves the ET ride and when Peter Pan waved to her in the parade at MK :)

I have to say, this is my least favourite ride in Orlando. I was almost jumping at the thought of its departure and a new ride in US. Awe well.........

The mummy ride in Hollywood is very different from the Mummy ride in Orlando.

The ET ride is alive and well (sort of), Jools went on it this week, whilst I waited outside, as it was a bit too fast for me. ( I was frightened):d:

I expect you'd prefer motorbikes rather than bicycles - ;)

Ha ha Steve. Well as Bill's bike is at the bike doctors until Friday it's Shanks' Pony for him. Unless he fancies getting DD's pink pedal bike out of the garage. The tyre will need pumping up though. Hasn't been used for a few years.

I can just picture Bill's smile as he rides around on a pink pedal bike . . . :cool2:

Glad to hear ET is alive and well - they can't get rid of him. Isn't it marvellous how he knows everyone's name :pgig: :pgig:
