:wavey: Hi Fellow Dibbers,

Just received our pack from Orlandoinfo.com and it mentions Winter Park Village.

As seasoned Orlando visiters, we have neaver been to WPV before, and I was wondering if anyone had been and where would be good to eat? Thinking of going late afternoon to have an early dinner?

As always, any help would be appreciated ...

Hi Kate,

Winter Park is a lovely place to spend a relaxing afternoon. This is the area were a lot of very successful Orlandoeans (!) live. Infact you can take a boat ride on the lake and look at all the multi-million dollar homes. As a result the main street has a lot of exclusive shops and designer boutiques you wont find anywhere else. Similarly with the restaurants, no TGI Fridays or Pizza hut here, they are all individual and the food is very, very good. You wont have a problem finding somewhere to eat.

Winter Park is also a dog friendly town so don't be surprised if you're in a shop and you trip over someone's pet. Infact, if you have a dog yourself make sure you go into The Doggiedoor for some very unique gifts for your mut

I think Winter Park is actually a lot like the main street in Celebration except it's real if you know what I mean. If you've been to Celebration before then you know roughly what to expect at Winter Park.

We make a point to go every time we visit the mouse and have spent some lovely afternoons there.

martin.

I think there is a Cheesecake Factory up there. That is where I would go.

The main street is called Park Avenue. Most of the shops and restaurants are centred around here and the Boat Ride (which is not to be missed imo) is signposted and if that fails, the people there are so friendly and helpful, you can't go wrong !
