I have been and really think it is. It is great and a darn site lot more fascinating and cheaper than the lame excuse for a titanic museum in piccadilly circus. It is especially great for children too. The tour guides who take you around re-made areas of the titanic are great and engage with the vsisitors really well. In the one room they recreate a deck and a huge piece of ice on the wall. The guide asks you to put your hand on the ice block for 10 seconds and then tells you that those are the temperatures that people had to endure with their entire bodies in the sea. If you have time it is well worth visiting!

Yes Titanic exhibition is well worth a visit, if you are keen then keep hold of your entry tickets as keepsakes, they are in the name of actual passengers on the liner, my grandson has ours along with our first Disney tickets and fave photo's in his own photo album. There is also a shop at the end of the tour [ surprised? ]where you can buy odd bits and pieces as mementoes.

Yes, agree totally with all the above. It's a very well-thought out exhibition. Went with my daughter (13) and two sons (11 and 7), husband didn't want to go but I think afterwards regretted not going when we came out saying how good it was!! Unfortunately we only had an hour there as we had to be somewhere else, so it was a bit of a rush round, I reckon we could easily have spent 3 hours there browsing, looking at all the exhibits in more detail. Thoroughy recommend!!

When the tour guide is finished, re-trace your steps back to the beginning so you can study the artifacts at your leasure. Fantastic exhibition.

Your entry ticket will have the name of a passenger or crew member who was on the Titanic and your guide will tell you all about that person. But when you get to the end of the tour you will see a huge list of all the people who were on the ship when it went down and whether they lived or died. You can then see what happened to the person you were meant to be.
Sadly, out of our party of five I was the only one who died. Mind you I was the captain, so it didn't come as a huge shock!!!! :(

Sorry, but I'm going to say the opp to everyone else as DD7 and I thought it was utter rubbish:(
We were really disappointed with the lack of artifacts and that you weren't even allowed on the fake grand staircase:nonono: ,as dd had been doing this at school I thought she would like it , however we were both bored and couldn't get out quick enough!!
If its a lovely day don't bother, but if its a rainy day it will kill an hour;)
Im afraid to say I wasnt over'ly keen on this exhibit even though i'm very interested and well read on the Titanic story. I think its a bit typical of how the Americans can gloss over what was a terrible tragedy in favour of a 'glossy story'

I agree with this completely and certainly not suitable for young children, far too boring and the guide was really very sharp with one Mother when were there because her baby was crying - told her to take him out - he wasn't very nice at all. I expected a lot more from this after what I had heard about it.

We all loved the Titanic exhibition. My dd's were 9 and 14 at the time and just loved the whole experience. I think its understandable to refuse access to things like the grand staircase as unfortunately not everyone is as respectful as us Dibbers and it would get ruined in no time at all but it was fascinating to see what it would have looked like and the staff were so knowledgeable. Definately gets a :thumbs-up from me !

The Mercado is supposed to be knocked down this year. I do not know the latest news on the project but the demolition was to be completed by July 2006. I would presume the Titanic will relocate.
Maybe someone knows whats happening or someone going in the near future could find out.
I wouldn't want you guys to go and find the Titanic has sunk a second time.
Justice Socks.
My sister, her fella and my wife loved it,while i took the 3 girls down the road to seaworld to ride the kraken
