This is some more info on the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique
A new boutique at DTD is going to be offering younger girls the opportunity to be transformed into little princesses by offering make-overs. The new Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique will offer 3 different packages. They are:
The Coach package~ includes hairstyling and glittery makeup for $35
The Crown package~ includes the above plus nails for $45
The Castle package~ includes the above plus a costume with accessories and 1 6x8 photo and 4 4x6 photos. this package will start at $175
Open daily from 9:30am 'til 6pm, the boutique is currently accepting appointments for dates starting on April 5th. To make an appointment call 407-WDW-STYLE (001-407-939-7895)
DD has stopped biting her nails so that she can have a manacure. I think I'd book the Crown Package for her although I will wait to see what the "glittery makeup" is like first - I wouldn't be too keen on a painted doll look.

This sounds lovely, I hadn't heard about it before. Our DD will have her 11th birthday during our stay so I'm sure she'd love a birthday treat :gift: Will it be reservation only?

Can this be booked 180 days in advance. Not going till October but thought this would be good last day treat for the 3 girls. Eldest has her birthday just after we get back so could be early treat. Also they get money to spend when we are away but never really seem to spend it they always spend ours. Something to spend their |OWN money on.
My dd would love this, but it doesn't start until we get back - what a shame. She has gorgeous long nails too, would be nice to get her a manicure

I would guess it will be very popular so a reservation might be a good idea :d:

Aaww - how sweet. Think I'll book this for my DD. She'll be thrilled!
I want to book this for DD for the day we do MNSSHP. A girly afternoon and then the party at night all dressed up:spin:
I wouldn't mind reading some reviews of it though first. I'm the same as you Tink....I dont like the painted doll look:(
:rose: :rose: Just wondering if there is a minimum age for the princess makeovers!!!
It's 3.
As for the "manicures" I enquired what this meant for my DDs (aged 3 + 5) and was told that it will involve glittery nail varnish and nail stickers, but they weren't sure yet if it would actually be applied to the actual nails or to stick on nails.
Also for the makeup bit they get to keep a makeup pallette afterwards. Apparently there are 3 images they can go for, it was "fairytale princess", "rock chick" and one other I can't remember.
AND there's no upper age limit, as I asked if there was something I could treat DW to as well as my DDs, expecting details of an adult service, but no - she is now booked in as well  (albeit just for the Coach - I couldn't see her with stickers on her nails ;) ). DD's are getting the Crown.

Sounds great, i do agree though, i wouldnt want my 8 year old to look like one of those very highly made up pagent queens, my worst nightmare, horrid.

That sounds great! I think i'll book the Crown Package for DD and her friend! They'll both have just turned 10 when we go and i was a bit worried this might be aimed at younger girls, but i can see DD loving the Rock Chick look! How far in advance does this need to be booked?
The Crown package seems reasonable, am I reading it right hair, make up and nails for $45. Seems an awful big jump to the next one $175.

The $175 does seem quite a lot, but then when you consider how much the costumes cost in the parks it's probably about right! We paid about $100 for DD's Cinderella costume with all the trimmings in 2001!:omg:

This looks really good, my daughter will just be turning 11, not sure if it will be "cool" enough for her!! Do they have a website so I can have a look at all they have on offer?
Also wondering is there a "boy" equivalent?

My Daughter will be 10 when we go and she seems really chuffed with the idea of a make over! I've told her it costs too much as i want to suprise her!;) I think the 'Rock Chick' look would be pretty cool for girls of their age!

Can anyone tell me what outfit they get if you go for the top package if they want the rock chick look? I know if they want to be a princess then it will be a cinderella dress but cant think what it will be if it is a rock chick

Looks like I've been talked into this for early April. Will try to book tomorrow and will post on what it was like when we get back. I dont' know anyone who's done it yet.
Pam.
:wavey:
I have just read on another site that the Castle package has an age limit of 12 years old. Princess gowns are available for ages 2/3 - 11/12yrs.

Peter will be disappointed. :spin:
The wife and I didn't like the look of it all when we saw it on the 2007 WDW DVD planner. Like a lot of people, evertytime we see the 'painted doll' look, we think of that little girl who did beauty pageants and was murdered in mysterious circumstances. I know it's illogical to connect the two things but we just do.
However, DD age 6 just watched the DVD and went absolutely wild when see saw BBB. We've told her no-way but I think we're gonna eventually crack and surprise her. Is she too young or are we and the Mrs just old fuddie-duddies?
Discuss! :pd

The make up they apply is very subtle, not at all 'painted doll' look.
Heres a pic of my 2 DD's after having the makeover.

ETA - DD's were aged 2 and 5. We suprised the eldest with the BBB for her 5th Birthday.

The first time I heard of BBB I thought the same as you....
But my DD will be 4 next time we go and she is desperate to become Princess Aurora with her hair, makeup and dress so we are going to book the castle package.
Its a lovely treat for a little girl, and Im sure you will have a say in the finished look:)

The girls in the photo above look great but, when we were there in 06, we saw children coming out with faces that looked just like something out of these beauty pageant things that are popular in the US. For that reason, my sister swore that my niece (ie her daughter) would never have that done. Frankly, it was creepy

DD had a great time and said she felt like a Princess

I thought about this but was worried that DD would come out looking freaky! Apparently though, you can request a 'natural' look.

Lets Just Get A Bit More Out Of You Dads And Mums
:nonono: :nonono: :nonono: They were definitely not "painted dolls". Anyone who thinks so is under a serious misapprehension :mad2: .
This thread is over a year old and as you can see from the photos many Dibbers' children have been BBB'd by now, including mine.
My 5 year old...

At the end of the day you pays your money and takes your choice, if you do not want BBB then ignore it.
Hi
I booked this for my daughter who was 5 when we travelled to disney just before christmas. We had a 9.30 am reservation and was just the right time of day. It does get really really busy. and mid december was quite quiet! This was the highlight of my little girls holiday. The child gets to pick what colour hair pins, make up , nails etc.My daughter bites her nails so she had lovely stick on nails that she thought were fab. the make up is DEFINITELY not like the american pageant queens!!!!!!! it really is very very subtle. My daughter is blonde and fair, and you could hardly notice it to be honest. We booked the middle package $45 for hair make up and nails. It was a really good deal. depending on which style you pick
1. classic disney princess - which is basically a fanned out version of a bun. You get to keep a crystal tiara which is put in your hair and a mickey mouse crystal hair pin.
2. disney diva - you get a false hair piece put in your hair, so the childs hair looks long (these are $10 to buy in the disney shop ) plus 2 crystal mickey clips.
3. pop princess - again this uses a more funky hair piece with bright colours in it. probably suits the older girls.
with all of the above, you get to keep a small palette of make up that they use on your child, plus another set of false nails. This to me was the best bargain.
We bought a jasmine outfit in the disney store, and she wore it to the boutique. outfit was $60 shoes $20 crown $15. I thought this was a much better deal. with the castle package you get the wand, and cant remember what else.
after they have been done, you can take them to the bbb photo studio where the photographer takes studio shots of the kids. These were absolutely brilliant quality photos. We had them all put onto a photopass cd so we now have 20 pictures. buying them individually was about $20 each! So make the most of photopass.
Hope this gives you a bit more info, but just send me a message if i can be of any more help

I am definitely booking this for my daughter when we go in Sept. She is 3 and into all the girly things. We have a Princess dress & shoes from DLP last year so she will be taking that.
