Hi

Having read recent threads on this activity we have just booked for our trip in the summer. I'm now just wondering what else there is to do apart from lie on the beach when the ride is over. Want to see as much of the place as we can because we don't drive and haven't been before.
Can anyone recommend anywhere to eat with DS (12) and how close are the shops?
Can't wait to go.

Thanks:wavey:

Make sure you go to Pier 60 for the Sunset Celebration as its great fun...

there are loads of little stalls filled with handmade crafts etc and there is a steel band and lots of acts, fire eaters, jugglers etc. Its perfectly safe for youngsters and has a really buzzing atmosphere. Lots of people take picnics, champagne etc to the beach at sunset and sit and watch the sun going down, there is always clapping and cheering as the sun disappears and then the fun at Pier 60 begins....

As to shopping, the Countryside Mall is a good place to visit, it has an ice rink there and some nice shops, not sure how to get there if you have no car though....

Have fun, Clearwater is lovely.

You can have a long lunch and drink beer for $1 a glass! This was in the marina restaurant. Does not look like much but the food was great and the staff really friendly.

Then head over to the beach to relax, play volley ball, realx or have a swim! The beach is lovely and the sea as warm as a bath. Then dry off on the white sand. Bliss!
