View Full Version : Big River Grille at the Boardwalk?
Has anyone eaten here please and if so what was your opinion?
We like the look of the menu and are thinking of doing it for one of our table service meals whilst staying at the YC - followed by Jellyrolls maybe;)
Menu can be seen HERE (http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_brg.htm)

We loved it there, ate there 3 times last year.
The service was excellent and the food we had was fantastic. I'm not a lover of chips with everything, so it made a nice change to have Both mash and veg....(yes veg) I loved the ribs there.
Also they brew their own beers.....very nice too...hic:grin:
The only downside was the seating indoors. They had these very high tables and high bar stools which were very heavy. So if you're only little (like me) you had to literally climb on to it and then you couldn't pull it toward the table because your feet didn't touch the floor.

I'm only 5ft 2ins - used to having dangly feet
Have to get DH to get off his and shove:pgig:
I love the Big River Grille and Brewing Works at the Boardwalk Resort.
Its the only place to get a good steak and good beer (which is rare in Disney).
If you sit outside (which you can ask for) you can see the illuminations fireworks whilst having your meal (if timed right).
Also a cycling piano often pulls up and asks you for a request, then he'll stay there, play it for you and then cycle off again. Loved it there.
See above comments from DisChap2002 on another recent thread - its made our shortlist too because of those comments! :tounge:

Love the place.
We usually make this our stop to eat on our first night, primarily because we usually stay in the Boardwalk.
We always sit outside, eat our lovely food and share a bottle of wine. If you are out there around about 20.45 you will get to see the Epcot Fireworks.

Yep we loved it too - was great sat outside watching the world go by trying all the different brews.
We ate there once too and to start had the hummus which came on a massive plate then I had the greenhouse salad which was lovely.
We ended up going here for evening drinks about 4 times over the 2 weeks we were there as it was a really nice spot and was good not to have to drink fizzy lager! My fave was the Magnolia beer mmmmmmm!

I can recommend it too. We ate there 4 or 5 times when we stopped at the Dolphin 18 months ago.
A good selection of beers and a well cooked food. Excellent service as well, my wife couldn't decide what sauce to have with her steak so they gave her a sample of each to help her make up her mind.

Does anyone know if they do childrens portions here. My Grandson normally eats the adult meals but I don't think even he could manage a 10oz burger and if sees burger on the menu it will be a burger he wants - guaranteed.:)

Yes, they have a separate kids menu.
Our 2 kids loved it there as they were made to feel really welcome.
One word of warning, I'm sure you can't make reservations so waiting times for tables can get long.
We found early evening the best time to go.

Norma, if you click on the link, check the menu at the left side of the page, click on Resorts then Boardwalk - you then can see the Kids menu

According to the allears website, it is only the ESPN club at the Boardwalk that does not accept reservations?

It may well have changed.
We went in 2004 and our Official 2004 guide also said they didn't at that time.

its a great place to eat and have the best beers in Disney.
Make sure you make a reservation for one of the tables outside, cus it can get very noisey at night inside!
