Just a quick one...
We are planning our 2 week Florida trip for May next year and I wondered if anyone could help - there are 8 of us going (all adults), 7 of us are meat eaters and 1 is vegetarian.
Can anyone recommend restaurants which have a decent offering for vegetarians? (Apart from the buffet restaurants etc where you can help yourself).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am a veggie and did not have any problems when I went last Oct as most places cater for vegitarians.
You wont have any problems anywhere.

I actually disagree with Amanda. I, too, am a veggie and i found it very difficult to get what i wanted.
I must admit i am a fussy veggie. The thought of artichoke and aubergine bake didnt exactly fill me with joy.:erm:
If your veggie is happy to eat pizza, veggie burgers, nachos etc then you won't have any problems as these are widely available.
Take a look here,

Breakfasts were fine, lots of choice for veggies and meat eaters. Lunch, we tended to just graze around the parks and snack. But dinners i really had to choose carefully.
If your veggie is quite adventurous with food then you probably won't have a problem.
Happy eating.:wavey:

Hi there
One veggie amonsgt 10 of us was I last year and it was fine - but then again I will eat anything as long as its not beetroot!!
We ate in quite a few places and I could always find something. The sandwich I had at the Rainforest cafe was lovely, The eggplant neopolitan at Mama Memrose, the hummus and salad at the big river but the best thing ever was sweet tomatoes mmmmmm.
That place was heaven for me! Why cant we have something this side of the pond like that for $8!
As someone else has pointed out if your veggie holiday companion is not fussy then they will be fine. If they are fussy then give them some chips and tell them to be more adventurous - Joke!!!
If they are fussy then have a study of the link above from all ears.net and pass it on to them so they can see what the score is.
Look at my countdown - I am going to the steak capital of the world in a few weeks and i am sure I will be able to hunt out something for me (I hope!!). *Regrets above joke about chips!!!*
I to am a vegetarian, and quite a fussy one too, breakfast is always easy, we like I- hop I always eat well there, I mainly have to have pizza's, vegi burger, we also like going for a chinese, we look at alot of menu's on holiday, and come away from alot of places, sometimes I have a starter for my main so I can have a change, by the end of the holiday I'm really fed up with the same sort of food. It helps to be with an understanding group of people we go in a group of 7 people me being the only veggie, it is hard as my cousin is a fussy meat eater so we plan where we're going in the day, if we're all really hungry we go to somewhere we know, if we're not too bad we then drive round looking at menu's, thankfully nobody mines doing this, and we always end up somewhere where we're all happy. We really like uno's chicago grill, they have vegi burger's, pizza's, pizza skin's (like a pizza with mashed potato in it), mozzerella bite's, never had any problems there.
Hope you have a great trip.
Love Wendy xxxxxxx

If you check out mcsue 's foodie reports
(http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=70723) - her DH mcpaul is a veggie and she has some great veggie reviews
My wife is vegetarian and we did the DDP last year.
Within the parks we found that the counter service restaurants did not have the best choice so we had to pick where we went for lunch within the parks.
However we found that the table service restaurants and buffets within the parks and disney hotels had a good choice of meals.
