Hi

We would normally stay at the Radisson the night before we fly, however my husband wants to try the Hilton as we have a gold VIP card and that we should get a better room.

I like the radisson for the fact that I can walk to the terminal and the rooms are nice etc but does anybody have any comments about the Hilton??

we considered staying the night before we fly but as i am working it didnt

end up being practical:(

The big plus I can see is the ability to walk from the Radisson safely which

with 3 kids for me would have been the best option

Not stayed in the Hilton, but the Radisson is lovely. I personally love the business class rooms with runway/apron view! (insert geek icon)

We stayed at the Hilton in Feb 2004 because we got a good rate on the room and parking.
But TBH we didn't really rate it.:thumbd:
The room was stuffy - the temperature was at a set level that couldn't be altered by us and the air-con unit didn't appear to be very efficient. We were three rooms away from the lift but could still hear it whirring most of the night.:(
...and DW and I only got about two hours sleep:zzz: but that was mostly down to being sooooooo excited about our first trip! ;)

The shuttle service was very efficient though and we had the mini-bus to ourselves - no-one else could fit in!:d: :d:

If we stayed again the night before we would probably stay at Bewleys.

I spent several weeks at the Hilton installing the new CCTV last year. The reception area looks nice enough but the place is nothing special considering the room rates they charge. I think they do have a shuttle minibus to the terminal but I dont know if you have to pay extra for it

we done the raddisson a couple of years ago and got a runway room and we thought it was excellent, really good because you are in the terminal, and every floor has a different theme we had a nautical themed room and really liked it.

We've stayed in the Radisson loads of times...a lovely hotel...my son used to work for SAS...so we used to stay for £30 a night....the best location for any hotel...with some great rooms overlooking the runway

No you don't pay extra for the shuttle.
