Help ! We are going on our 1st trip to WDW in 40 days time and have suddenly come up with idea that it might be worth doing the Disney Dining Plan after reading some threads about this.
Can anyone suggest websites to look at which will give a list of restaurants included and also any information?:confused2
Can I book this prior to going if all my park tickets are booked and I've already made some ADRs

it has to be booked as part of a package, so you would need to have booked your hotel and park tickets altogether with the same tour operator, it also depends on your tour operator too as some are not offereing it. I presume you know you have to be staying onsite???

Thanks for the reply
We are staying at ASM for 1 week. We booked the package on-line with Virgin. Do you think we could add the dining plan on to this? or should I forget the idea and spend my time thinking about something else!!!:confused2

Hi I don't think virgin are offering the plan, enjoy your trip am ure you will have a great time:)
Here is the link for all the info, or see my thread on it earlier this week
There is a link on the page for all the participating restaurants. Some of these changed recently and apparently some UK tour operators were waiting for the update to offer it??
WDW Dining Package (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/tickets/packageDetail?id=PackageDetailMYWDiningPkg06Page)
You would need to have booked your park tickets along with your holiday with Virgin to be able to book the Dining Plan, as the whole thing has to be done as a package and i'm not sure if it can be added on at a later date! As was previously stated a lot of the British Tour Agencies have now stopped offering the Dining Plan.
If I wanted the dining plan and I had booked the holiday as a package with a company who were not offering the dining plan, I would telephone WDW and make enquiries. The least they can say is "no" and then I wouldn't be any worse off than I am now. ;)
As the Dining Plan includes taxes and tips, we think it will be worth it. I'm sure we'll spend more than $32 per person per day on food.

Jan, WDW would say no, I tried this for a client last year and they refused to get involved. As it turned out they offered free dining so we worked a little deal where they were able to use this but in a very roundabout way and not the way they would have planned. Correct Steve ;) ??

Sure is Val
Oh bummer! What a swizz!!!!
I'm still fighting with Portlands/Thomson to get DDP added to my booking. Their last reply after waiting 6 months is 'we are no longer able to provide it' and they say that I can to arrange it once in resort with Disney. Which I am pretty sure I won't be able to do. I have asked them to contact Disney World Resort and confirm that I am able to do this.

Flo, you are absolutely right, stick to your guns, another case of DIBBers knowing more about the product than some suppliers...again!!!!
You cannot add the package once you are there. Keep at them honey
