We don't normally do Universal, but I keep thinking I quite fancy just dipping in and doing a few attractions, Barney, Shrek 4-D, Suess Landing and possibly Spiderman for me and Phil.
I think we could cover both parks in the one day, but I can't see a 'hopper' type ticket on their website - do they do one?

Bev.. I wanted one of these a while back, but couldn't find one, even though a DIS thread at the time said there was one in the US... I'm ordering the 2 day, 2 park ticket this time, and we may get a few hours on day 2 before we leave for the airport. Mapleleaf have them for $106.95/ £57 at todays rates. (kids are $97/ £52)

Thanks Mike, Universal themselves are doing them for $99 and free kids, so I will buy those, just thought there might be a slightly cheaper optoin.

We have puchased a 3 day 2 park Univeral/IOA ticket & any unused days never expire, so we can use it in the future. It might be worth checking if yours expire so you may not loose a days pass if you don't need it.

They only sell the one day/two park at the gate not online. You can purchase a one day/one park online and later upgrade to the second park at Guest Services. This is often a good idea as you might not have time to get to the second park in one day. If you find you have the time to make it worthwhile to pay for the second park, just got to Guest Services and upgrade before you head over to the other park. It costs $10 plus tax to upgrade to the second park.

You can get a one day/two park ticket at the gate and if my memory serves me right, it was about $60 per adult.

It is $77.75 (this is the total price which includes the tax) at the gate. If you buy a one day/one park ticket online for $59.75 plus tax (for a total of $63.64) , you can upgrade it for $10.65 (total price) to the two park at Guest Services so you will save a little over $3 that way.

I recommend doing it that way anyway just in case you don't have time to get to the second park. That way you wouldn't have paid for something you couldn't use.
