Were planning on going next year, a 6 yr old Girl and 2yr old boy.

We were wondering whether there was much to do in Universal etc and should we just keep to Disney ?

Welcome to the DIBB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Universal is great for kids, Barney has a show in Universal and there is lots more for the little ones. IOA has an area called Suess Landing full of smaller rides, my kids love it there. It may be worth your while though just getting a 1 day/2 park ticket and spending the morning in 1 park and the afternoon in the other.Hope this helps. :) :)

There is a mini coaster Woody woodpecker themed and a lovely play area.
Also Curious George area is a must with lots of fun water interaction. Both in Universal.

As mentioned Seuss landing in IOA is great ....very colourful:grin:

I would hate not to go to universal...there isn't as much to do in terms of rides for the little ones but mine have spent HOURS playing in Curious George(take swimming costumes) and Fievels playground. Also Seuss has a fab watery bit. I look on it as a bit of a relax for me...they can just pooter about and I sit and watch!! Although in fairness you have to follow a 2 year old around most of the time.

OH...and as mentioned above..how could I forget Barney...

My DD has been at 19 months and 3.5 and I never felt she didn't have a great day.

Don't forget the dinosaurs in IOA's Jurassic Park too - the kids love them.

Universal is good value too. They do ticket deals so that you get extra days and child passes free with adult passes so all in all I think they are good value. 4 (consecutive) day passes for me, DW and our 2 DDs for US and IOA were only $214 or so ($99 x2 +taxes). After I bought they increased it to 5 days for the same price. You just have to keep checking for deals.

George goes to town!! Oh that brings back memories of Kids screaming and running under a massive bucket of water that tips down on them! Theres also a ball factory where theres loads of baskets and you collect balls and put them in Guns (well there child friendly!!) and plunge them into the air! Not many people found that i dont think...
