Most of the big rides do have warnings on them - at Disney I would avoid the TOT and Rock N Roll Rollercoaster.

My dad had by pass surgery a few years ago also and he came with is last August. Of course it is up to each individual, but he didnt do any rollercoasters. It just wasnt 'worth the risk' in his opinion. There was still loads for him to do and join in with.

He would be best to discuss the limitations with his cardiologist before he goes and heed their advice. There is no point in taking risks, there will be plenty of attractions that he can enjoy without worrying.
A lot of the rides carry warnings about heart problems. Absolutely avoid Tower of Terror that did funny things to my heart and as far as I know mine is healthy ;)

Everything except (at Disney & US/IOA):
Thunder/Space Mountain
Hulk
Mummy
Duelling Dragons
Tower of Terror
Rock n Roller
Dr Doom
Mission Space
I think that was all! I'll come back to you if I think of any more! He did do Splash Mountain.
BUT, THESE WERE HIS CHOICES AND EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT.

I was going to say avoid Mission Space, and possibly Test Track. Both have positive g moments (prolonged in MS). As I don't do coasters I can't comment on the others ;)
I would also avoid the Rock N rollercoaster i would also say avoid Space Mountain.

thanks very much for the info. i realise it will be my dads decision when we do go i just want to be able to give him some advice which i hope he will listen to. we will have a great time anyway. :thumbs-up
I would avoid Doctor Doom, TOT, Duelling Dragons, Mission Space, RNR but I would suggest he takes a look as well before he goes on anything as different rides will effect people differently as well! I hated Doctor Doom and Duelling Dragons they have been ticked off my list never to be done again:omg:

I'd steer clear of them all to be honest, a moment of fun is not worth a lifetime of suffering
