I know we are a long way off, but we have been talking about what we would like to do different than last time. We are visting Seaworld for one day and would like to do one of their meals. Which meal is better value and is most enjoyable? Thanks

Depends what you want, if you want to whale watch then Shamu, if you want better food then Underwater grill. The food at the underwater grill was really quiet good.

Done both last year , the Underwater Grill has definately got the better food but Dine with Shamu is a great experience.
Overall the Underwater Grill gets my vote between the two if i had to choose

We did Underwater Gril for my dh's 30th and it was amazing. We requested a tank side table and got it and our dd loved watching the fish the whole time we ate.
Food was lovely too.

We plan to do Underwater grill next time, but we cant make ADR's for this and will have to do this the day we visit seaworld.
We did Dine with shamu last time and i wasn't impressed the food was avarage...they sat us behind a pillar so we couldn't see any thing..we were moved and placed in a good place to see the whale but were being watched by people outside the gate trying to get a glimse of shamu for free, while ide paid for it:(
Woudn't do it again just didn't have that good feeling about it and we had really been looking forward to it as ide booked almost a year in advance.
Looking forward to Shark underwater Grill:grin:

We really enjoyed the underwater grill, food was fab and very reasonable, plus every table seemed to have good seats.
Hopefully were going to 'dine with shamu' this time, really looking forward to it!

We were distinctly unimpressed with the food at the Underwater Grill, although the experience was fantastic. Haven't dined with Shamu maybe next time!!!

IN my trippie for the day we dined with Shamu I wrote this:
"We went to the Shamu dinner and enjoyed it. Good food for a buffet, good service from Jason, great close views of the killer whale, free Anheuser-Busch and Pepsico beverages. The meal was paid for in advance but we were all given little cards telling us that service was not included in the price! Everyone around us seemed to be leaving $30 so we fell in line.
We went to the last Shamu show of the day with our VIP passes guaranteeing us seats…except the park was so quiet that the stadium was quite empty and we wished we had gone to an earlier show and left straight after the meal."
Haven't done the other meal, sorry.
We liked dine with shamu. Thought food was good and nice that wine was included. We booked whilst out there so it was not a big build up which made it even better. I would recommend it.

Do the Dine with Shamu. It was a great experience - food was buffet style, nice but thats not really the reason you're there. I dont even remember what I ate - didnt take my eyes off the pool to look at my plate! (bit of a shamu fan! - could you tell!!!) Staff were great too.
