Hi all DS is 13 when we go to florida want to do a couple of ADR while we are there, he is complaining saying he is too old to see cinderella or winnie the pooh having lunch or breakfast he wants something a little more grown up anyone any ideas please
We chose 1900 Park Fare for exactly that reason. At the breakfast the Mad Hatter and Alice were there. Just like in the book they were a bit vague and if I didnt know better, I would have thought them 'spaced'! I liked the fact that we actually had live characters apart from princesses talking to us and they really did make us laugh. We are going back again this year we enjoyed it so much.

How about the new Toy Story character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine? Although the full details arent out, that looks as if it could be fun.

There is going to be a Toy Story meal at MGM or so the rumours go. We are all waiting to be able to make ADRs. :)

I agree with the new Toy Story one but also have you thought about O'Hana's breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. We are trying that this year, it sounds like fun with Stitch there.:d:
Also, although not a character meal your DS may enjoy Whispering Canyon dinner, now that is fun so I've heard (we're trying that too) If you look at this (http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_wc.htm) and make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page you will know what I mean;)

My teens really enjoyed Whispering Canyon, but they both always ask to include Crystal Palace in our ADRs too. Another favourite is Sci-Fi at MGM, no characters but very cool.

We are also taking our teen boys to Whispering cayon this year.
I loved 50's prime time at MGM too, great fun, great steak.

Sci-Fi is themed as a drive-in movie theatre. You are seated by CMs on roller skates and the seating is in 1950's cars facing a big screen which shows 50's sci-fi movies. It is made to look like an open air theatre. The dinner menu is here (http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_scid.htm) and they have some cool touches like glowing ice cubes for your drinks. We've always had lovely food there, we especially like the Coca-cola BBQ ribs.

You can make an ADR 180 days ahead, I would advise this so you are not disappointed or have a long wait for a table. When we checked in for our lunch last time people walking in without ADRs were being told the earliest available tables were after 9pm!
