Just came across www.attractiontickets4less.com (http://www.attractiontickets4less.com/) the message on their website says they ceased trading yesterday. I hope no Dibbers lose out, there have been a few ticket companies going out of business lately so be careful who you order from and pay by credit card to give yourself some protection if the worst should happen.
order from disney and cut out the worry

Disney keeps a close eye on WEB BASED ticket resellers, and if they
step out of line then supplies are withheld.

Glad we got our tickets from Disney and Universal direct rather than through an agent.

It really is a minefield for the inexperienced florida visitor like myself.

It seems a very cut throat buisiness.
Hope ticket buyers are ok too.
I made a point of asking for mine a few weeks ago, even though the trip is 5 months away, I have them now though.
I searched through loads of ticket agencies but for the difference of a few quid I decided to order through Disney and Universal directly, for peace of mind more than anything! It will be such a shame if people have lost money through this company closing down!

You can save yourself a load of money NOT buying them direct from Disney or Universal. Also there are tickets available over here that you cannot buy direct from them like the Seaworld/Busch Adventure pass.

when buying tickets you need to ensure that your money is protected, either by buying from a company which provides a financial trust protection or perhaps insist you have them delivered to you immediately.
Not too sure what to say about this I just feel bad for the customers who have lost out.

i agree that for all the saving its better to buy direct for disney or universal
As long as you use a credit card your purchase will automatically be insured.
Buying from a ticket company is a very clever thing to do, and in the cases of large families - will save you a fortune.
Do insist on early delivery though if you are worried. If something was to happen you then have plenty of time to call your card company and get the money refunded - then buy from Disney if need be.
As long as you buy from one of the larger ticket companies you will be safe. They all specialise in tickets, and many of them have been in business for years.
And yes... i do work for one of em ! :)

Virgin sold me them for £121 less 10% discount as well.
Just type flex ticket into google and click on the sites, there are quite a lot of sites selling cheaper than the ATD price you quoted.
Just checked the Virgin one £121/£103 - best deal around - no good for me, need three weeks!
Orlando-ticket deals are £130/£114
and Keith Prowse are £144/£119
similar prices - go with safety as a lot of these companies seem to be going belly up!!
You can find it cheaper than those if you look harder :) Not a lot cheaper mind :)

I got ours through Orlando Ticket Deals. You get the real tickets through within a couple of days. Not a bad price too although I was sneaky and booked all our park tickets and DC just before the price increases at the end of last year;)
I booked mine last year too, but despite emailing and ringing them no tickets arrived and, although I will get my money back, the price rise is a little more than inflation!
...and Universal are/have removed their Express pass! -
Oh well -Blue Springs State Park is a cheap day out so I'll save some money
Universal where doing a 5 day ticket with free kids tickets for $99 last week when I checked - I thought that was a great deal.
Bevs - that is a very good deal as we are only going for 2 weeks this year and spending a few days of the first week in Naples. 5 days admission to the Universal parks would be enough!
Now for a good deal on the SeaWorld / Busch Gardens end.
The day is getting better!
This board has such helpful people!

The best deal we've found for Seaworld & Busch Gardens is the 21 day combined ticket - costs about £54.
Be aware the Universal tickets are only valid for 5 consecutive days

A group of villa owners got together on another forum and set up their own agency, Basically all the villa owners put the cash UP FRONT to buy the tickets for their guests and others. The operation is operated on a commision only basis with a local company so as to keep costs at a minimum and also to allow the villa owners the same buying power that big travel agents get. If I recall right we bought over £100,000 worth of tickets and the take up was so great that we had to form two companies to deal with number of 'investors'.

There is a special offer on at seaworld / busch at the mo - buy a one day ticket get 6 days free.

Ticket broker Holiday Travel Essentials, who also traded as USA Essentials and www.attractiontickets4less.com, ceased trading on Friday March 3 and anyone holding tickets with them for later in the year should contact their liquidator, Vantis, as soon as possible. The phone number to call is 01903 222 500 (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-5pm). Our understanding is their ABTA bond should (eventually) provide full refunds, but customers can also contact their credit card company in the meantime. Bookings for Discovery Cove have been protected by Attraction Tickets Direct, but customers should contact ATD as soon as possible on 0845 130 3876 or www.attractionticketsdirect.com to re-book. The two companies are not connected in any way. However, customers will still need to pay for tickets a second time and then wait for reimbursement from their original tickets refund.
Hi I have bought all our tickets from a company called Orlando ticket deals I to trawled throught the net looking for the best prices and because I was buying for 27 people got a very good price I would reccomend them, tickets came within a couple of days.:wavey:
Have just received tickets (real, not vouchers) from Mapleleaf (http://www.mapleleaftickets.com) for the 3rd trip running. Prices are great, service is excellent.. Omar is very personable and troubled to ring me this time to thank me for the repeat business, and to tell me that a special on Universal Tickets was available that would save me $15 or so, and had changed my order accordingly!!

I would second this, we have bought from them 3 times now, tickets came very quick, good prices too. Never had any problems and will be getting our next lot from them too.
I bought my ticket through an online company (but over the phone for the "managers spl") about 2 months ago. www.themepark-tickets.com
I had to submit the departure date which is the 30th March 2006 and was told I would get the tickets 10 working days before departure.
Last Monday, having not yet received them, I telephoned them and was told they would be posted to me on Wednseday by Spl Delivery so would have them on Thursday (today).
No tickets have arrived
Ive just phoned them again and they have said they will be sent out today (its 5pm!!!!!!). Hmmm. Not impressed by the fact they charged my card months ago and still havent sent them. Time is running out and I really dont need this hassle.
I wont be using them again thats for sure.
Just praying they are not going under as well!
