Hi everyone, I was just wondering if any body has stayed at the Rosen centre before.

I've always thought it looked nice but some online reviews aren't too good. Going in july and was just wondering what to expect.

Thanks

The very first time we went we stayed at the Rosen (was then called Omni Rosen). The holtel itself was lovely, decent rooms and the 24 hour Deli was very nice. But the staff were woeful. First they tried to charge us again for the room which we had obviously already paid for, they could offer no help with regard to buses and transportation. Every time we asked them something they either didn't know or direct us to someone else who didn't know. We kept missing our coach to Disney because no staff member knew where we were supossed to catch it (that includes the coach company).

And to top it all off the cleaners stole our towels.

I think it is a hotel for business rather than tourism.

we had a nosey in here a few years ago and there were so many conferences going on, infact one lady at a table handed my DH a pack of goodies, the hotel looked nice but the pool quite small for such a large hotel

Don't worry about the pool size, never any body in it. Most hotel guests are at business conferences all day. The staff are a little unhelpful though!

Regardless of any reviews you will only be using the hotel as a base so don't let any negatives take the excitement away from your holiday.

We enjoyed our stay there a few years ago, as I said the pool was always empty with plenty of sun loungers, the deli was excellent, as were the rooms. A lot of the conferences they put on were real eye openers, and my better half said the people watching was first class!:cool2:

We stayed at the Rosen Plaza in 1998 when it was called the Clarion Plaza. The Rosen Plaza is slightly further up International Drive opposite the Pointe. The hotel itself, rooms, etc were all lovely. Similar to the Rosen Centre the pool was small for the size of hotel but it was hardly used. I would certainly use the Rosen Plaza again so I presume the Rosen Centre is the similar but I think slightly better class. It was the location which was a really plus point for us.

We love the Rosen Centre, and have stayed there many times. Rooms are large and well decorated, Coffe shop (Cafe Gauguin) does good breakfast and dinner buffets.

Excellent bar, but it does get busy if there is a convention. We love sitting in the lobby at night with a gin and tonic, watching all the comings and goings. There is also a beauty salon and gym, tennis courts, and reduced entrance fees to their golf course (plus free transport to it).

I must admit we are biased because my mum comes with us so we tend to spend more time in the hotel than you folks would, so its an ideal "resort" hotel for us.
