It is explained here. (http://allearsnet.com/pl/packages06a.htm) Basically for those booking a package including WDW accommodation and park tickets, you can add the dining plan for the duration of your stay for around £20 per day per adult. This gives credits for 1 table service meal, 1 counter service meal and one snack item per day per person at participating WDW restaurants.

The WD dining plan is only available to guests who are staying on site,
and must be taking by all guests in the party, for the period of your
complete stay. You are then allowed a set amount to spend on your
meals each day.and these vouchers can be used ar any disney property.

OK how long have you got lol
You have to book this as part of a WDW package ie with room and tickets at a WDW resort and for the length of your stay whether that be 2 or 14 nights.
For around £22 per person per day - you get one snack (fruit, bag of chips/popcorn, ice cream or drink), one counter service meal (meal, dessert and soft drink) and one table service meal per day.
Nearly all WDW park and resort restaurants are included, but some of the 'posh' restaurants count as 2 of the table service meals (so you would have to either not eat table service one day or pay to eat).
We are doing this at our Xmas trip and have decided to do two of the Signature meals, so in a 14 night stay that means 10 table service meals left to select.
More information can be found

With a full list of up to date restaurants, the UK site is still 2005!!
We normally allocate £50 to eat per day so think it is good value, we also would probably not eat quite this much:d:

It is an awful lot of food, but we loved the dining plan. It is great to try some restaurants that we wouldn't normally be able to afford. We enjoyed the counter service places too. Ate so much we hardly had any snacks or extras at all!

The dining plan table service meals can also be used for charactor meals or even for the dinner shows at Disney such as Hoop dee doo.
The table service meals also include service charge as well.
We did the dining plan last year and are doing the plan this year as well.
We have also stayed at the CBR twice and is a good choice for non drivers as it is fairly close to MGM, Epcot and DTD.
You can use the food court but I would also make use of the dining facilities in the parks and also downtown disney which is only 10 minutes or so by disney bus.

Just becareful if you book through a uk tour operator, Portlands/Thomson took my booking and promised to add on the dining plan and now they say they are no longer able to book it for their customers. I would have loved to have had the dining plan. So make sure that if you want it you book with a company that can include it in your booking.

The dinig plan is fine if you can eat all that food. BEaring in mind that American protion sizes are HUGE and this is the equivalent of two/three LARGE meals a day. I know we wouldn't be able to do it - we actually cut down on food because of the heat!!!!!!

Thanks for your replies

Couple more questions from nice but dim tim:blush:

When you say. 1 table service does this include somewhere like the rose and crown in epcot or just hotel restaurants.

1 counter service presumably like tillies and typhoon lagon or similar.

Does it cover all of the menu ie table service ie if i go to the California Grill

present voucher i can choose an entree main meal and dessert for the voucher? every day.
On top of that i can at luch go to the Restaurantosaurus and have burger and fries + drink. for a voucher EVERY DAY!

ALthough i will be very very fat on my return have i got that right.

Cheers

Table service covers retaurants in the parks (like R&C) as well as the resorts, some are classed as 'signature dining' and will use up 2 credits per person.

It is a lot of food!

It covers nearly every restaurant in WDW - parks and resorts, if you use my link above you can see which restaurants are included and which are 2x table service meals (like California Grill).
Counter service can be anywhere too - in the parks or resorts.
How it works is that your room key card for your WDW hotel is credited with your DDP details and the servers must be presented with this before you order - they can then see how many credits you have left.:thumbs-up

Hi just to say I know some wonder do u get treated diffrently on plan than those paying cash, the answer is no, no one in the restaurant knows if u are on plan or paying by CC, in fact at the water parks I was asked by other customers how I was paying they thought it was great as at water parks it means u need no cash on your person, people think the plan is a lot of food which it is but if u eat in the better restaurants the portions are not huge but they are expensive main course in Le Cellier pays for a days plan using only 1 TS credit, the only negative side to the plan is u need to plan for your meals, as for the snack credits remember if u have some left get the rice krispie treats for bring home at $3 each incl tax they make great treats:thumbs-up
