Just received a phone call from our travel agents - saying that airtours have pulled out of the motel we were booked to stay in, and they are booking us in to the Comfort Inn universal Studios Area - they say its due to contractual issues with the hotel - I wouldnt be so mad if I hadnt received an email a few weeks ago from airtours - to reasure me that everything was ok  We go down to london tomorrow !!!

OMG!! I too would be mad with changes like this so late in the day. :nonono: :omg:

Hopefully they will have moved you to a location that is as good, if not better. We are going with Airtours in August and already they have changed the flight times, :erm: - managed to amend the taxi pick up without too much hassle :confused2

Hope you have a great time

Ther's nothing you can do so late in the day and I too would be furious! You could try persuing the matter when you get back.

Hope everything turns out OK

which hotel should you have been staying in?

Is this the Comfort Inn Universal (on the corner of Sand Lake and Universal?) If so it really is a nice hotel and has a great free breakfast everyday

If (and I sincerely hope this isn't hte case) you get there and don't like the hotel - I'd kick up a bit and demand to be moved and upgraded. Probably outside of their control about hte move to be honest but annoying none the less and you should look for an equivalent or better hotel given the inconvenience caused. Sometimes though these things can end really well with you getting a better hotel in a better area than you had booked! Hope it all works out well for you and have a fabulous time!

Be sure to have noted down the new address. Immigration like to ask the address at which you will be staying on the first night.
