We are booked into the AKL for a week. We have already paid for a Savannah view room through TCD. First of all i would like to request bunk beds.

But i have been wondering about maybe upgrading to Concierge or interconnecting rooms. what would be the the best way to find out about the extra cost involved.

It is easy with the HRH as i just have to e mail them direct;)

Sorry Jools I can't answer your question but when are you at AKL? We are there for 7 nights from 2nd August.

You can try contacting the hotel direct and see what the difference in cost per night would be, alternatively TCD may be able to give a good price too. I've upgraded to Yacht Club concierge with Virgin and the price they gave me was very competitive with Disney direct.

Can I jump in on this?
Clare, at Y&B did you think concierge was worth it?
We have booked a water view room but I've been quite tempted with concierge. Where are the rooms located, do they have good views etc? We are going in 2 weeks so I have probably left it too late but you never know! I'm so excited now!!

Otillie, this is my first time doing concierge properly with all the planning concierge staff do for you in advance - we got a free upgrade last time :) The YC concierge rooms are located on the 5th floor on the first part of the building (nearest stormalong bay), some rooms overlook the pool/boardwalk and some overlook the front of the resort, there's a lounge which serves breakfast, snacks for lunch and snacks for dinner (there's not really enough to replace lunch/dinner though), and evening chocolates/cakes/drinks. It is very nice but I think it depends on what you call worth it. The concierge staff are on hand to provide assistance during the day/early evening. The YC is fantastic and as you've already got a water view rooom you will have a lovely view anyway.

Thanks Clare, that makes me feel better. I'm going through phases of being very excited about this trip and worry that it might not be what I hope for ... if you see what I mean.
Still, not too long now, & the thought of sunshine keeps me going!!
