early morning at MK and Gullivers at Swan

I have managed to make an early reservation for breakfast at Crystal Palace for our first morning in MK........my son and his wife and our 2 grand daughters have never been before and the idea of being able to enter the park early...and for them to see the castle without the crowds and walk down Main Street and the photo opps. etc will be great. we have to go at Easter (school hols.) so will have to contend with crowds most of the time so this will be a rare treat....our reservation is for 08.10 so what time should we get there?

has anyone ever done this?

also anyone done the Gullivers character meal at SWAN - is this good and which characters
