Disney Hotel Upgrades

We have booked to stay at ASM's for two weeks at the end of sept beginning of Oct 06 but were wondering about upgrading to a different Disney hotel for the second week for alittle bit of luxury.
Has anyone done this before and how much extra would it cost. Not sure about going delux so we can see the fireworks from our room or just upgrading to moderate. Are we looking at second mortgage material for this to happen??:omg:

You just go to reception at the hotel you are staying at, and ask them if you upgrade, You will have to pay the difference between your room and the rate at the new hotel and you probably won't get any discounts, so you would be looking at full rack rate for your new hotel.

To stay in a moderate is not that expensive, you are probably looking at an extra $60/night over the price of ALL Stars. For a deluxe it depends on which one, could be anything from $130/night on upwards
