After looking at Townhouses on WindsorHills i contacted a few Villa owners in Lindfields and Rolling hills and some of them have come back with prices no dearer than the townhouse so now we've got another dilema.

Is there anything I should know be aware of regarding Lindfields or Rolling Hills ?.

The facilities in Windsor Hills are very tempting but as we're going in December it may not really be warm enough to use the pool that much. The villa's then gives us a bit more privacy as well as a 'proper' pool. Of course all the Townhouses are virtually new which is in there favour.

Arghhhhh it's so difficult, too many things to choose from.

Get a proper house by which I mean a detached home. Own private pool and generally more room than a 'townhouse'.
The resort areas are very nice but its nothing like being on a sub division with locals and holidaymakers.

Yeah, think we are heading this way, didn't think we would be able to afford anything as we are staying for 24 nights and over Christmas but I've been surprised with a few quotes I've got back for villas how relatively 'cheap' they are. If it had just been one quote I might have been a bit suspicious but now we've had 3 back in our budget I'm a lot happier. Sent off another huge bunch of emails this lunchtime and will await more quotes tonight/tomorrow. Covered the following resorts so far:

Lindfields, Windsor Hills & Palms, Rolling Hills, Emerald Island, Indian Creek and Formosa Gardens.

( have I missed any in this area ?)

Exciting this holiday planning isn't it!!.:spin: :spin: :spin:

Rolling hills is great, very up market and in a great location and fairly new. The only thing to be aware of is that Linfields is an older community. There are still some very nice villas there but I would want to know when the home was last refurbished.

How old is Linfields and how new is Rolling Hills ?. The Linfield villas are coming in slightly less than the Rolling Hills ones but they are 3 beds mainly instead of 4.

We are staying in a villa in Lindfields next month and it looks a very nice 4 bed place. I have found out that they were built in 1993.:wavey:

I'm not sure how old Rolling Hills is, but it is a gorgeous community, we had a drive around it last year and all the villas are beautifully kept. We are staying there next year.

Yes 1993 seems such a long time ago. 99% of UK housing stock was built before 1993 so why would any Brit want to know when such a home had last been refurbished. Probably much more recently than the 20+ years old Jumbo that may have carried you at 35000ft to get you there I would think:d: :d: .
