View Full Version : Friends visiting Disney/Universal Hotels
We're going to be having some friends visiting us at both our Disney and Universal Hotels. I thought I'd read somewhere that you have to give their names to reception so the gatehouse will let them through? Does anyone know if this is the case or if we don't need to do anything?
Thanks

YOu will have to notify reception, and your friends will be asked to
produce ID at the gatehouse.

Some friends(staying outside WDW) visited us at AKL last time .
We told Reception their name and the approx time they would be coming.
However when they arrived they just told the gateman that they were visiting some guests and having a meal and he just waved them through (without asking their names)!
Just to be on the safe side I would tell Reception though.

As you can wander the resort hotels unmolested by staff anyway, I wouldn't bother with reception, just produce ID at the security post and tell them you've come for a meal or a wander around the hotel.
